Easy Set Up
"Registering for this warranty coverage is simple, they saved a copy of my receipt so I no longer have to worry about losing it. They also insure cell phones/tablets at a much lower premium and deductible then my current provider, so when I buy my next smartphone, I will use Square Trade for insurance."

"The concerns I have with this protection plan is with the pre-existing condition , and manufacturer defects mentioned in the contract policy. THIS IS DURING THE WAITING PERIOD PRIOR TO THIS PROTECTION PLAN.
If during the waiting period the product has a specific failure or manufacturing defect this coverage DOES NOT APPLY to that defect.
So if the TV has sound problems during the waiting period you would not get a repair for this as it is a pre-existing/manufacturer defect."

Extended Warranty
Pros: great price
Cons: never know how good a warranty is until you use it
"It is very difficult to determine how good a warranty is until you have to use it. Never having done business with this warranty company before, I cannot speak about what may happen in the future should I need to use it. However, I feel confident in Costco and feel that they would not offer a product that they would not stand behind."

"This is supposed to kick in after my original warranty and Costco's extra one-year warranty run out. I cannot comment as to how good it is because it'll be almost two years before being eligible to use it. However, the price at Costco was better than any other long-term warranty offered at other retailers."

"Pleased with the JVC flatscreen TV we just purchased. The only drawback is that we can't hook up both the DVD player and the Wii at the same time.

Best Electronic Warranty
Pros: excellent pricing
Cons: located out of state. may be cause delays.
"I have not had occasion to use my current warranty, but I've only used electronic coverage once in the last 20 years, so how can you compare the results. The contract itself is super simplistic and very reasonable cost. I called Square Trade with some questions and they were very pleasant, quick response and resolved the issue satisfactorily. This is a good indication that if a problem with my TV arises, it will hopefully be handled in the same manner."
