This high quality block set will prove to be a source of fun and creativity for children for years to come. They’ll love to stacking, counting, building and sorting with these beautiful hand-sanded unit blocks. Building blocks are truly the foundation of early childhood learning. As children play, they learn basic math concepts, problem solving and develop logical thinking and fine motor skills. These blocks have 13 different shapes that, when stacked, allow kids to compare size and spatial relationships. The most industrious little builders will appreciate the higher density and weight of these blocks, which increases stability while building. Includes a sturdy wood storage crate with two built-in carry handles and can double as a platform for building when inverted.

cost a lot less at the warehouse

"I got this hardwood blocks set at the Costco warehouse. This toy is an instant hit with my three-year-old girl. She can stay quietly at her play area playing the bocks, building a boat, a house/castle, or a pretty elaborated door (for her age) for up to 40 minutes. Sometimes, she simply enjoys stacking up the pieces randomly as high as she could, then knocks them down while singing "London Bridge is Falling Down". I have a great time playing this set too. This is a great toy to train young children how to use their imagination, patience/persistance, and I think some physics of gravity/balances intuitively.
However, the price sold here online is very high. I got mine at the warehouse and the price is about 28 dollars for the same 64-pieces. And from what I could tell on the website pictures, they are identical.
So I would highly recommend one for any children but get them from your local Costco Warehouse ifyou can. At least do a price comparison."

Great mind building toys
"I bought these blocks for my 2 1/2 year old grandaughter. She plays with them every day and loves them. To watch her imagine things and then try to build them is amazing.

"I purchased this for my two nephews ages 6 & 3. These are played with everyday! Not only with my nephews but anytime one of their cousins or friends are in the house they all seem to go straight to the blocks. This set of blocks are very sturdy & fit nicely within the wooden box they came in."

"I love the unit blocks! The handy wooden box is great for smaller blocks or other toys,although the unit blocks wont fit back into the box unless an adult does it, I still like them. I just have a shelf in the toyroom where I have the kids stack them. I ordered 4 sets and got 2 more sets for Christmas from clients/ I have enough blocks for all the kids now."

Great value for a great toy!
"I had been looking everywhere for nice blocks for my kindergarten age kids when I found this set. There are plenty of pieces in the set to build some great structures, but I bought two sets since I have two kids. Keep in mind that a 5-year-old can easily use 200 blocks at a time. They have been a huge hit! The kids have lots of floor blocks at school they love to play with and were happy to have lots of blocks at home.
The edges are very smooth, and the storage box is a big plus. I would have liked to have a set of larger, floor-type blocks as well; but we're happy with these. Great value!"

Good Quality, Excellent Price
"The blocks are well shaped and smoothly finished. I bought them because they reminded me of the much more expensive ones I got for my children when they were small and wanted some for when my grandkids visit. The price and quality appealed to me. The wood storage box keeps them neat and is also attractive."

"I have been looking for blocks like these. My childrewn had them when they were younger too. When i saw them I was so excited, I have been looking for 2 years plus. Just like I remember as a child!
Pros: wonderful finish.
Cons: none that i can find - my granson will love them.
"When my wife told me the price of the blocks was so terrific I jumped on the opportunity to buy a set for my grandchild. Of course, I knew that any Costco product would have high quality - yet - I was still very surprised when I opened the box! I found the blocks I wish I still had as a child in the late 1940's. They are wonderful with great hardwood and fine rounded edges and finish. They recall a time when everything had quality! I'm a Costco junkie so In the interest of full disclosure -- I happen to be one of those people who serve you samples in the store and fully enjoy working with the members and have constant access to quality and terrific price every day. But, sometimes I use the website!"

"You can't trust paint to be non-toxic. You can't trust plastic toys to be harmless. These imaginative raw wood blocks are safe. The wood of the rubber tree at the end of its life no longer produces latex so it is destroyed. But now it is being used in an eco-friendly way to be enjoyed for years to come. My grand kids play for hours with these shapes. Einstein said "Imagination is more important than knowledge". Put your kid on the right track for success."
