Egyptian Alabaster Ottoman Lamp
This handmade lamp is crafted from a single large piece of stone, shaped in a classic form reflecting the design era of the Ottoman Empire in Egypt when Egyptian Alabaster was highly revered and utilized on a large scale. Its light is a honey color and beautifully celebrates the natural alabaster and its mystical allure of Antiquity.
Each piece is fashioned by master craftsmen, using quality stones and time tested artisanal techniques. Due to the handcrafted construction and organic variation in the alabaster itself, each creation is one-of-a-kind, imbued with its own unique colors and textures, milky veins and amber-hued swirls.

Gorgeous addition to my living room!

"I got this lamp as a birthday gift and it is absolutely beautiful. Well-made from a good-sized piece of alabaster. I have a 4-year old so I like that it is sturdy and unlikely to tip over. You can really see the quality of the stone--so lovely with the light coming through."

Returned-not working
"The switch on the lamp cord was obviously cheap and broken, so the lamp didn't work. Also, the lamp was a lot heavier and clunkier than I expected."

I realize that this is hand cut stone (not something mass produced in a mold) and like knowing I have a unique piece of art. The lamp is prominently featured on a table in my entryway"

"Plus - Natural piece of stone
Negative - Some pieces don't look as good as others - The one in the pix looks great, mine did not have the same character and natural cracks/fissures makes it look broken. It will be returned tomorrow."

"I thought this was going to be an expensive looking accent piece for my living room, however; it looked awful. The stone was quite thick and was not polished. The white swirls were opaque. I took it back immediately."

"I opened the box and pulled out an absolutely gorgeous lamp. The alabaster is beautiful without illumination, but when that light goes on it gives off an incredibly warm, inviting and organic glow. It goes perfectly with my contemporary furnishings and looks fabulous in my home. The workmanship is flawless on this lamp, I know these are hand made (just one more reason to LOVE these) as I have bought alabaster pieces from Costco before and have been thrilled. In fact, I have had many admirers purchase these after seeing them displayed all over my home! I really value the individuality of each piece, the different marbling that simply cannot be replicated by man made pieces, and that unbelievable glow....I cannot say enough...."

"After reading the reviews and image, I decided to make the purchase. Should have listened to the issues with workmanship. The top rim was chipped and cut in a warped manner. The candelabra insert was off center. Returned on the same day received."
