Great Table
Pros: waterproof and can just leave it outside.
Cons: none since we enjoyed the assembly part
"We purchased this table to just leave outside and it was a good price. We fold it up and put it under an eve and then roll it out onto the deck fold down and play. Delivery was 1.5 weeks to California and we had no damage issues with the table. Just relax and take your time putting it together. The YouTube video does help along with assembly directions (search match pro assembly in YouTube). I assembled with my son and we actually enjoyed it like the previous reviewer. The only issues that I can think of: 1) That there are no leveling feet which is not an issue for us and to be honest would be a pain to deal with leveling all of the time. and 2) the bar holding the net is pretty small and I could see it bending if you ran into it by accident. Anyway, I am glad we ended up purchasing the Kettler for this price. I don't believe I would have noticed a difference between this one vs. a more expensive table with respect to actually playing ping pong at our abilities. It works great for playing solo. The table is easy to fold up and down and move around so you can be playing in seconds. I am also glad I got one that stays together vs. one that comes in two halves. If you bump into the table while playing it will not make the 2 halves separate or move. We'll see how well it takes the abuse over time, but I don't anticipate much of an issue. Overall great table and I would recommend it."

"Make no mistakes this table is a challenge to build, we recommend watching the video before starting. Use the instruction sheet as a reference point only during the assembly. Bought this for our children and we had great time together while assembling it (2-3 hours). So if want to spend some quality time with your children on a project that pays off in the end, this is a great one to do. We love it!"

Very good table

"Ordered for a vacation house, so we needed to coordinate with shipper. Arrived in about 1 1/2 weeks to west coast, and shipper able to deliver when I wanted it.
Took about the three hours others have said. (One confusing step: a reinforcement bar is installed in the middle of the table for part of the process, then you unscrew it when one side is done, and put that same bar on the opposite side. I had a few minutes of heart-sinking dread, fearing I'd lost half one of the horizontal bars.) Directions not that confusing if you speak pictogram.
When the table is open, the two halves don't have a secure connector to hold them together. It didn't seem to make it come apart, but I would have liked a more secure lock between each half.
The table plays fairly well. The ball doesn't seem as bouncy or "live" as other tables I've played, but I understand this is a limitation of outdoor tables. Totally worth it, if the table survives the "liquid refreshment" pong I'm planning on playing with it.
Comes with 4 paddles and 8 balls."

Exelent ping pong table
Pros: the net holding bar., easy to fold., strong and durable.
Cons: casters should be a better quality., parts list is on german why not in english.
"It is the instructions to assemble the table that are frustrating. There is nothing to tell me What is the difference between an M8x45 screw and an M6x60 screw or where should I use the "Sicherungshebel 1" or where to use "Sicherungshebel 2 ". You say it takes 120 min. to assemble... Probably if you are familiar with the table... but if you aren't ......Good luck!!!! Use colors to describe every part on the table it will be easier. I LOVE THE TABLE !!!! once it is put together."

Came with damage, pain to return

"Table arrived with with damage to the table surface. Unfortunately because of the "protective" cover on the surface, I did not notice it until the whole thing was built. Now it is up to me to re-package it for return. I don't recommend buying something like this online for this reason. Not only did I waste three hours of my time and my brothers, but now I have to waste another three hours to return this thing.
As for the table, as others have stated, it is not easy to put together. Mainly because the diagrams are not very clear and instead of providing steps to assemble both sides of the table, they just state "repeat steps x - y." The problem with this is that you need to reverse the perspective in your head since their are no diagrams showing the reverse perspective.
Once built the table was not flush from side to side, but this may just point to more defects of this particular table sent to me.
Kettler is unresponsive to my attempt to contact them, so you can't rely on them to help resolve any problems."

"I called Kettler to find out what the difference between this table was and the others they offer on their website. This is most like the Match 5.0 with minor differences with the wheels and a lot less expensive.
Kettler rep referred me to assembly video which was a big help. He also said Kettler is in process of upgrading instructions which were very hard to follow
With video, it took my husband and I about 2.5 hours to put together so not so bad."

think twice before purchasing

"Assembling this was the hardest thing I've done... horrible directions which require the purchaser to do 100% of the assembly including building the carriage the table sits on then hoisting the 50 lb. table pieces vertically onto the carriage and bolting them to the carriage in a vertical position--where the table half can fall on you. Bags of unmarked bolts, washers,fasteners. Extra parts left over (for another model?). Parts that do not match the instructions."

Awesome Table

"This is an amazing table! It moves easily. There is only a few problems, and it had nothing to do with the table itself. The directions were close to impossible to follow and understand. They were pretty much impossible to follow. It should have taken me 1-2 hours but because of the directions it ended taking me twice as long as it should have."

"Yes, this table was a bit difficult to assembly - the company should really revise their instruction manual. But, once completed this is a really great table - especially for the outdoors. Light weight and easy to move around. I would recommend a table tennis cover if leaving outdoors."

Had for 6 Years
"I purchased what looks to be the identical table about 6 years ago. I don't recall any particular difficulties in assembling the table, but I'm a little better than most at doing that sort of thing.
The table has held up great over the years. It's proven to be very durable. It is easy to fold up into the storage position, but it does take two people to unfold the table as there are releases on each side of the table that need to be depressed at the same time.
The only issue I have which is very minor is that the net fastens on each side using plastic clips. Over the years the sun made the clips brittle and they broke. The net itself is still in very good condition, but it's a little difficult to get it really taught because with the broken clips the strings must be tied to a small post.
I would definitely recommend this product to the outdoor table tennis enthusiast."

Optomistic about this table

"This table took me about 4+ hours to put together by myself on a Saturday afternoon (it helps, though, to have a second person for about 5 minutes when attaching the table tops to the frame). It only took that long because the instructions are terrible. Make sure you do not tighten any bolts until the very end because at some point you will need to take apart a piece and replace it. There are a lot of pieces that look virtually identical but are not, and go on specific parts of the frame. For example, the there are two different types of levers to open and close the table sides. You have to study the picture to see which version goes on the side with two wheels and which goes on the side with one wheel. However, now that it is built and we played on it for a while, I'm optomistic it will withstand being outside all year round without deteriorating. I read some reviews that questioned the "bounce" of the table. I'm purely a recreational player, but the top is definietly thicker than any indoor table I've played on which may cause the ball not to be as lively when playing on this table. I couldn't tell you which bounce is "correct" though. Also, 5 stars for costco.com service. I thought I was missing some pieces when it arrived and called their customer service (turns out there was a supplemental instruction sheet loose in the packing materials). They were excellent in trying to resolve my issues."

Nice looking table
"After all the reviews about how long this table takes to put together, I set aside a whole afternoon to assemble. I took my sweet time and carefully examined the directions and it took less then 3 hours to assemble all by myself. Really not that big of a deal. Granted if the bolts, screws and nuts were labeled it would be much easier since most of the time is spent figuring out which is which. Once you have the bolts and nuts figured out it really isn't hard to put together. If you are somewhat mechanically inclined don't be afraid to get this table. And if your not mechanically inclined after you build this table you will be. All in all it is well worth it and very fun to play on."

"I have no idea if the table is nice, because I'm still putting it together. Order something else. This is not a ping pong table. It's a box full of parts, with the most pathetic excuse for instructions I've ever experienced."

Good Table Bad Assembly Instructions

"The table arrived right on time as described at the time of ordering. The folks that produce the assembly instructions need to go to camp to concentrate on not making this process a 4-5 hour ordeal! Maybe the German instructions are more complete but the English ones must be poorly translated. The diagrams in the booklet also seem to have been lost in translation to common sense! I almost returned the table in pieces to my local warehouse. Once built, the table is a joy to play on. It also folds up and down easily for storage."

Great Product/do not wait until DEC 24 to assemble

"As mentioned in the previous Rating, the table is fantastic, but the directions are terrible. Allow yourself 3-4 hours to assemble. Once you get rolling it is easy, but the bulk of your time you will be scratching your head and wondering if you are choosing the correct bolt for a certain step, Kettler could easily make this a 1.5 hour job if they either packaged the the bolts by steps OR provided a sheet that had actual size drawings for the bolts (they do for the washers). I also read reviews on the Kettler site and EVERYONE says exactly what we are saying here: allow extra time. Also I read that in the last step you click on the plastic black protectors near the wheels, they have the KETTLER name on it, but if you follow the diagram in one of the early steps about assembling the base you will have the holes on the inside. To correct this you would have to almost start over. A metal drill bit solved this for me (creating new holes), but look at the last step before you start to assemble, you will see the holes I am talking about.
I am still very happy with this purchase, GREAT shipping & packaging...can’t wait for Christmas Morning!"

"The table arrived a week early and came very well packaged with all parts included. The assembly took about 4 hours, did it all myself though. The instructions need vast improvements- basically explanation other than pictures. They should physically lay-out the nuts and bolts in an orderly fashion as opposed to throwing them into plastic bags, it would saved about 2-hours of assembly. The blue table is beautiful, easy to lift up and lie down, easy to manouver, sturdy net with an always accurate net height. With a better ball than what comes with the table, for an outdoor table, the surface performes great like expensive indoor tables."
