Arm support falls off
"The arm support padding had only one screw in each support and it will not stay in place. Therefore, the arm support is useless. I have to keep the arm support out of the way now since the pad will not stay on. BTW, it has two screw holes and only one screw was installed on each side."

Terrible Chair

"Like others said..
1.The balance point for the tilt is too far forward. When leaning back, it requires moving way back in the seat and providing some help with your legs to remain tilted back.
2. The bottom seat has a bulge in the middle after few days. It's like a bump between your thighs.

Wonderful chair - exceeds our expectations!

"so much so that after we bought the first one, I bought one for myself. We moved in June and gave our previous office furniture which included two rather expensive but uncomfortable, heavy, leather office chairs. We've been in search of lighter, more comfortable, affordable, office chairs Which we were unable to find.
After my partner broke her ankle in early October, we were forced to find a comfortable office chair quickly as she was going to be working from home for the next 6-8 weeks. I went to all the office supply big box stores & name brand office furniture stores. Really wasn't finding anything that fit our budget and what did were not very well built chairs. Sure, we loved some of the $700+ designer office chairs but they're way over our budget.
I stumbled upon this one on costco.com because I wanted to do some research on a chair I saw at the warehouse it was a little less expensive but seemed too bulky to me. This chair looked exactly like for what we were looking and was reasonably priced so I took the chance and ordered one sight unseen as I know with Costco, any item may be returned.
Ordered the chair on Saturday and it was on our front porch Monday afternoon. Super fast shipping. Read the directions and found it easy to assemble, start to finish took me between 15-25 minutes and I'm not very handy but I'm able to follow directions. My partner was happy! She used it for about a month or so and was thrilled with how it felt and she was literally using it for work a minimum of 8 hours a day. About 5 weeks later, I decided to buy one, too. It arrived just as quickly and since I knew how to put it together seemed like it took a little less time. Basyx is a division of Hon office furniture so I thought it couldn't be too bad. I completely agree with my partner, very comfortable, breathable office chair that I've used up to 5-6 hours before taking a break. All parts needed were included with both of our shipments. The first shipment arrived with the box very torn, I'm 99% certain by the shipper. That made me nervous parts night be missing but they weren't. The second box arrived in pristine condition. We couldn't be happier. 5 stars for this product!"

Could be better
Pros: firm seating, mesh back comfort, good construction
Cons: seat too short, have to concentrate to remain tilted back, back not adjustable in and out from seat

"I like a firm seat and this is one. However, I have two complaints with the design of this chair. The balance point for the tilt is too far forward. When leaning back, it requires moving way back in the seat and providing some help with your legs to remain tilted back. They need to change the pivot point OR make that back adjustable with relation to the seat itself. The back can NOT be adjusted in and out so we are left with a poor balance point and a short seat. That said, I am keeping the seat, but it is just OK, not a real winner."

"Chair was shipped with no casters. 5 day wait for those. Used chair for about 2 hours- central hinge pin, the pin that allows for & aft movement sheared off so the seat flopped around like a bird with a broken neck. Returned it the next day."

"I bought this chair and found it to be somewhat adequate for the price. The main criteria of seating comfort is lacking, but given the price I guess it's to be expected.
The seat cushion comfort, size and position are my major issues.
The back cushion is comfortable. The vertical height adjustment is fine. There are no locking positions for seat tilt -- all you get is lock or unlock for the tilt, plus tilt tension.
The seat angle seems to be tilted forward, because when I sit in the seat, I feel like I'm being pushed out of the seat. I added four stacked washers in the front mounting plate, so it didn't feel like I was leaning forward.
The seat cushion seems to be somewhat warm and uncomfortable; however, after a few days I got accustomed to it. There's not much cushion in the seat and I can foresee after a year of usage, it will start to feel less comfortable.
I would like the seat cushion to be a little deeper in depth, but I've gotten use to it.
The armrest have good height adjustments and it has a slight concave shape, so your elbows fit nicely into it. The armrest is some type of plastic vinyl over foam and feels a little cheap, but it's acceptable.
I seriously considered returning the chair to Costco, but so far I'm OK given the price."

"Chair arrived as expected. Shipping speed was great! Easy to assemble. Took me about 10 minutes per chair but I have a hex wrench for my ratchet that I used instead of the supplied allen wrench. Even faster if I would have used a cordless drill.
Posture is upright for working. Not lounging. But that's why you want to buy it right?"

"Can't complaint about this chair; very good value and easy to put together. My 15 year old son put it together for me. nicely padded on the seat. Have had many office chair, this is just about the 3rd one in about 3 years. looks like this one will last a bit and hopefully will last more than the previous. Can't afford the 'real' office chair at $500 and up!"

"This is a great chair if I could buy it all put together. I had difficulty putting the casters on the chair. Called the company and they told me what to do. Still couldn't do it. So I said its not worth it and returned it to Costco."

Ok, but not stellar

"The chair back looks quite bulky, though it's not very attractive and looks like a bridge girder. The reclining spring is very sturdy, So sturdy that my wife cannot sit back with the tension all the way to soft. Ok, she is not five feet 8 inches, only five feet 3 inches but geesh with the spring tension to all soft?"

Seriously, 26 hours

"As the title says, I ordered the chair online at noon and it was at my apartment at 2 PM the very next day. Of course, you can't PLAN on that, but what a nice surprise.
As far as the chair, all the previous reviews are on target - easy to put together, comfortable. There are a few features I wish it had (seat tilt) but I didn't want to PAY for those features, so I can't really complain. And the price was about $20 better than comparable chairs at other office supply stores."
