Highly functional and very good quality flatware
Pros: price, finished product quality, weight/balance, sharp knives
Cons: use care when removing the knives from dishwasher
"I am very satisfied with the finished product quality of this flatware set. It is well balanced and has the weight of a quality product. The knives are very sharp and have maintained their edge while using daily."

rust spots on knives in less than a month

"I returned another R&B pattern that I'd purchased at Costco due to rust issues on the knives. I actually preferred that pattern but thought I'd try this as it was service for 12. Unfortunately, after less than a month of use I noticed a rust spot on one of the knives so it must be a problem with R&B in general. I'll keep purchasing from Costco but Reed & Barton is a poor shadow of what the brand used to be."

Look before you leap
"Against my better judgment, I bought this as on online-only special. I've had a set of Reed & Barton (other pattern) for 10 years that has held up perfectly. This set looked cheap in comparison -- Uneven pattern and wrapped in dirty plastic sleeves in a non-descript, beat-up carboard box.
It was meant as a gift, but I returned it the same day."

Heavy, large flatware but beautiful on table
Pros: looks like silverplate not stainless steel, individual plastic-wrapped
Cons: not enough bubblewrap - loose in box, fork points scratched other pieces

"Don't remember if length of knives, forks, etc. were listed but these are HUGE. Had to remake our silverware drawer. Liked our smaller stainless steel set because it was SMALLER in size. Other than that, a lovely set. Bought two sets. Wish sets included extra teaspoons since we use them the most. Serving piece was scratched by the forks. Wish flatware was also listed under silverware even though not silverplated. Hard to find when searching Costco."

"I have always held Reed and Barton as a high quality company. The silverware I
received has very uneven stamping of the
Diamond Braid pattern. On some it is deep
and sharp and on others is is faint and
unclear. The quality control needs to be

Excellent Quality

"I have only owned this product for a couple of months, but I am very happy with the quality, the weight, the balance of the product in your hand as you use it. It washes well in the dishwasher or by hand to look brand new. The serving pieces are an additional compliment and just the right amount for a full dinner use. The price is outstanding as well!"
