Scoreboard Doesn't Work

Pros: fun to play
Cons: doesn't keep score.
Model Number: Lifetime® Double Shot Arcade Basketball System
"Assembly was a breeze. The product's construction is nice, but it does NOT work. The IR sensors they have you install do not keep track of the score very well. It "counts" maybe one out of every 20 baskets made.
Mfg. has sent new sensors TWICE now, but same problem.
The mfg. appears to be aware of the defect. That is, a large batch of the sensors are defective, but they seem unable to determine which ones are good and/or bad so they keep sending us new sensors to try."

Well Priced

"we like it, munckins spent hours playing first day. not incredibly sturdy, but good for the price. alittle annoying, there's no on/off button, have to unplug score board when done playing. some balls did deflate (like mentioned in other reviews), but just reinflate, noozles must be hitting & letting out air out versus any holes in the balls."

Best Arcade Basketball Hoop!

Pros: quality construction, infared sensors
Model Number: 90056
"I love this game from Lifetime! My brother and I have contests to see who can get the highest score. This is a very quality unit. It is much more substantial than some of the cheap $100 ones I have used. It is very wide for two people to play at a time and the infared sensors work well. We fold it up when not in use to open up the room. Great product!"

Not the best

Pros: good construction
Cons: sensors don't work, balls don't hold air, only one game
"Not too thrilled with this purchase. This is all my 3 year wanted for Christmas and for this price, I expected more. It is true the construction of this product is great, very study, good hoops, etc. However, the balls do not hold air for one day, the sensor works MAYBE 15% of the time, there is only one setting (countdown of 30 secs to shoot) which you have to turn on and off BEHIND the hoop, that is annoying. Also, a clip on the black net part was sort of "deformed" and doesn't clip on, so my husband had to tie it around the tubing. Of course we didn't see it until the end. Overall, just disappointed, not sure if we will keep, but it will be a complete pain to take apart and return."

Okay so far

Pros: seems to be rather sturdy, good price (got it on sale)
Cons: electronics, 3 flat balls
Model Number: 90056
"We got this for Christmas 2011. Prior to assembly I noticed one bolt was missing. I rigged another bolt and some duct tape and made it through.
Instructions are okay, but not great.
Sensor on one side doesn't count all baskets and 3 of 7 balls do not hold air.
I called Lifetime customer service on Tuesday and they were very responsive. They are sending the missing bolt, new balls and a new sensor. I'm hoping this works out. We're having a teenager party later this week so it will get a real test then."

New Christmas Present

Pros: solid construction better than other brands., different height adjustments for size of ceiling., folds up to save space
Cons: some of the balls not holding air, sensor seems to miss counting some baskets
Model Number: 90056
"Had a good time playing this with family on Christmas Day. It did take a couple of hours to assemble, but was impressed with the construction compared to other models. Directions were clear, and everything was well-labeled.
However, noticed even after pumping up some of the basketballs several times, they're not holding air. Also, one of the rims is bent down and sits lower than the other. Doesn't really show how to fold the unit up as advertised, but able to figure out.
I'm giving this 4-Stars for now, as I think it will be a great long-term addition to our game. However, we'll see how the customer service is on the replacements. Read a few reviews on problems with the balls not holding air, and the sensors, so hope Lifetime is taking notice."

Questionable quality

Pros: sturdy frame
Cons: faulty sensors, bolts already loosening on baskets
"I bought this for my 8 year old son for Christmas. He saw it in the garage so my husband went ahead and put it together on the 22nd. Both baskets recorded baskets initially but now one side has stopped working. I had read on other sites that this has been issue for others who have purchased this product. Some have had to repeatedly replace the backboard because the sensors have stopped working. I am a little surprised that is already the case with the sole user being an 8 year old and for such a short time (4 hours of use max). I guess I will be contacting Lifetime and we'll see what they say about resolving this issue. We are disappointed in this product. One of the pleasures of doubleshot is competition and it is hard to compete when only one sensor is registering baskets."

Still Waiting to Play

"Purchased Double Shot Arcade Basketball to replace older version, which the kids loved. Prompt delivery and easy to assemble. Unfortunately, the electronic components did not work! Re-ordered only to find out that 5 of the 6 balls did not hold air. Although the company, Lifetime, is quick to send replacement parts, the kids are still waiting to play. . . .
Frustrated"
