So-so
Pros: fairly quick printing love the e-print ability!

"I've been using this printer for about 6 months now. It was a bit difficult to set up all the features...had a hard time with Windows 8 and also the remote printing. Love it now that I got it set up! It is fairly quick to print and the quality is reasonable for the most part. Things I find VERY annoying are: I can't just throw in an envelope to print real quick - have to take all the paper out, adjust the papertray, print the envelope and then put everything back. HASSLE! I now use labels most of the time. Secondly, it does this whole reset thing after each task. Say you want to copy something, you copy it and then it goes through a whole set up before you can do anything else. It's about 20 seconds or more. VERY annoying when you are trying to copy more than one page that can't be fed through the autofeed. The picture quality is not the best tho' is acceptable for the most part. Lastly, I feel like I'm ALWAYS having to replace the ink! VERY expensive! I don't print all that much and almost never color. I've had to replace ALL the color 2 times already and I can't even count the number of black cartridges I've replaced. Keep in mind I just don't print that much. So, wishing I had gone with the HP and seeing what options I have to be able to return this printer and buy yet another new one."

Brother's Poor Customer Support
Pros: inexpensive
Cons: non-existent customer support, flimsy plastic construction

"The device itself feels very cheap, but, the price is low so it's understandable. The problem I had is with their customer support. When I called with driver installation issues, the only assistance they would provide was to refer me to the PC manufacturer or Microsoft. When the PC Manufacturer (DELL) spent over two hours on the phone with me and we conferenced Brother's technical support on the line to assist, they refused to offer help and referred us to Microsoft. If you intend to install this on a Windows 8 machine, consider another printer. If you may ever need technical support, consider another printer manufacturer."

Wireless with iMac, iPad & iPhone

"I purchased the Brother MFCJ625DW to replace a Brother MFC465CN that I have had for several years. I replaced the old multifunction printer because I wanted wireless one that would be compatible with my iPad and iPhone. Since I was happy with the previous Brother printer, I decided to purchase another similar, but updated and wireless version. It was a snap to set up with my Mac-based network. I use the Brother iPrint & Scan app on my iPad and iPhone and wirelessly print without a problem."

Wireless Four in One
Pros: it's wireless.

"It took me a couple of times to get it installed properly; the printer will not receive a print command transmitted through our fireplace, but it works perfectly through walls. I like the fact it's energy efficient and goes on 'standby' mode until I'm ready to print again. Good investment!"

Works Great

"It does exactly what it's supposed to do and it works great. Even I could set it up and download the software. I have used all four functions - copy, fax, scan, and print. They all work beautifully. I love the wireless printing. I can sit at my kitchen island and work on my laptop and wirelessly print in my office. Fabulous!"

Very good
"I think this printer is great for the money. I haven't used it for the fax function, but the scanner, printer & copy work great. It was easy to set up, basically plug & play (we didn't use the wi-fi function) and it works quickly. I regularly print 15-30 page documents and it prints them quickly and duplexes them without trouble."

"Nothing to complain about so far. Owning only wired printers, I needed a wireless printer for printing from tablets/smartphones. Although I am fairly high-tech, I had somehow survived this far without a wireless printer. To be honest, I chose this one because of the low price and high functionality, figuring I could always return it if it didn't work out. I had very low expectations, esp given previous reviews said photo printing quality was not up to par (and I do print photos). I have been very pleasantly surprised - it's been an absolutely wonderful addition to the household, and I would highly recommend it. Have tested every functionality (scan, copy, fax, print, wireless) - they all work excellently. Setup was easy, without issue. I don't know how I got by without this until now. Would recommend it for home offices or personal use."

Cons: ink prices~ comparable to others but still pricy
"Good price for all that it does. Shipping was really fast. My other BROTHER died and this replaced that; its much nicer than the older model. You will get more features on this model from Costco for the same price of a lesser feature model at an office store.
I do not use it professionally, but for personal use it works great. I've had it for several months now and no complaints."

"The wireless setup is a bit intimidating according to the instructions, but I turn all the devices (computer, router, printer) on before initiating the install. As I recall, you need the SID and password (not 100% sure) & the install went smoothly. Afterward, you install the Brother client on your PC."

"This printer was easy to install for wireless use. Works well with both desktop and laptop. Printer quality is good, it is very quiet. The quality for pictures was very good though paper load for 6x6 pictures was somewhat tricky."

"ordered this because the 2 yr old lexmark printer had cartridges that were too expensive. this has 4 separate ones which helps on cost of replacement. printer works great..makes great copies, fax works and the machine is quiet. ordered and received it in 2 days. so far so good...very happy with it."
