High and Dry?
Pros: touchscreen menu is brilliant.
Cons: ink quantity was basically a tease.
"The printer itself is great. The set-up was easy and the quality is solid. However, the 3-star rating comes from the ink cartridges. Nothing on the box indicated that they were perhaps "trial" cartidges, but the black ran out before I had printed 15 pages in total (not pictures, just a regular amount of text per page from my grad school papers)."

HP printer's rock
Model Number: HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-one
"I still have my HP printer from like 10 years ago. This one is the improved version of that, and wow is it ever. Set up was easy. Quality of printing, copying, and scanning is excellent. I was even able to scan in a check deposit and print from my iPhone. Best of all the price is very cheap for an awesome piece of equipment."

Not a bad printer, but not great either
Pros: quiet, good print/photo quality, reliable
Cons: scanning software inferior to previous photosmarts, some installation challenges, software bloat, lack of documentation makes it overly complex
Model Number: Photosmart 7515
"This is the third Photosmart printer I've owned and the fourth inkjet. HP continues to improve the hardware and system software, but the application software has gone seriously downhill.
Pros: - this printer is reasonably quiet for a Photosmart (much quieter than their all-in-one Officejets) and has very good print quality. Photos are excellent. So far the printer seems more reliable - I occasionally had challenges with dropped connections with the older Photosmarts but not this one.
Cons: The biggest problem with this printer compared to earlier Photosmarts is the application software, especially the scanning software. The 7510 series doesn't support HP Solution Center. HP Solution Center allows you to set up your scanner to scan parts of a single scan to multple files. In other words, you put can scan four photos at once and the system recognizes the four images and gives you the option to send each one to a different file. When you have a lot to scan this can save a lot of time. Every Photosmart printer I've had has supported this, except this one and there is no way to add the capability (I've scoured the internet). My other complaint is just bloat. HP has loaded this printer with so much software that it's sometimes hard to figure out the simple things (like where to put the paper). Speaking of that, the operating directions are almost non-existent. If you are fairly experienced with HP's you will be OK, but I would never give this to my 80-year old parents - not without writing my own user's manual.
My other gripes are minor: Installation didn't go very smoothly. The system didn't recognize my wireless network when I followed the recommended computer based setup but worked well when I did it from the printer. Auto align failed the first time (said the paper size was wrong) but worked when I tried to print from the computer and the computer initiated the alignment. All in all, it's a keeper since I've found some scanning software that will suit my needs. As far as recommending it to a friend, I certainly wouldn't recommend it unconditionally, but if the main thing you are looking for is good print quality and a decent scanner I think this could be a good choice."

Good prduct
Cons: delayed power on light.
Model Number: Photosmart 7515
"I recieved the printer in a very timely manner. It was very easy to set up and I was on line with my wireless network in no time at all . Setting up to use with my I pad was simple as well. Love the 2 sided printing, it is easy and no paper jams. Color photo printing is outstanding. Only complaint is the delayed start after you you press the power button. It took a while to figure out that there is at least a 30 second wait from the time you press power until the power button light appears and printer starts to come on line."

Back to HP
Pros: efax since i have no home phone line, easy setup
Cons: no cf memory card slot
Model Number: HP 7515
"I moved away from HP on my last printer and I'm happy to be back.
Setup was very simple and had no issues setting up my iMac, it's BootCamp sister, and a second Dell laptop. I was quickly printing from all three and our two iPhones and iPad.
The negative comments about eFax were from someone who did not try and get signed up from the printer's display. It is free, 20 in/20 out, per month. You only pay if you try and sign-up via eFax's website.
Happy camper!"

pretty good printer
Pros: wireless efax no land line required.
Cons: ink seems more expensive
Model Number: 7515.
"This replaces my 6 yr old photosmart printer. Easy to setup, works better with my wireless laptop, iPhone and iPad. I did the setup manual and never need to read the instructions. The eFax works well over the internet and it is free, you have to register your printer through the hp software, and not through eFax web site. I had cut my land land, this printer is a good fax solution."

crooked 4x6 prints
Pros: speed
Cons: crooked 4x6 prints
Model Number: HP Photosmart 7515
"This printer was easy to setup between my mac and pc wireless setup. Top sheet feeder worked great. Fast printer. When you print on 4x6 photo paper, the printed picture was rotated about 5 degrees. This was very evident when printing with white border (not borderless). I played with reducing the size of the photo and shifting the print down and to the right but it was too much trouble to compensate for this annoying problem. The paper feed system seems to let the paper shift or something. If you are going to put a dedicated photo paper tray on a printer, at least make sure it works before selling it. I went back and got the hp envy. I have to take the paper out and swap sizes but it prints straight. The efax is cool too. I have used it and its easy. Sometimes I think Costco gets seconds or something."

As advertised
Pros: easy to to set-up and run., even using a usb to set-up wasn't a negative.
Cons: had to use a usb connection to set-up with my mac.
Model Number: HP Photosmart 7515
"HP Photosmart 7515 Wireless is as advertised. I went to the hp website and talked with a rep that stated that this was one of the best printers they had. Out of the box the set-up was easy and it's working better than I expected."

Beware the efax!
Cons: does not handle fax independently
Model Number: HP Photosmart 7515 Wireless All-in-one
"HP has long been my favorite printer supplier, until this year. I thought this was an "all in one" printer, but I believe I was misled. You camnnot receive or send faxes from this printer unless you buy services from an outside organization, for a monthly and per fax charge! Non of this is specified in the offering data, or if it is, it's in the fine print. For shame, HP! This is not consumer friendly. Get back on the ball, and include fax with your products. I ended up buying an Epson Workfprce 845."

Ultimately a Dissappiontment
Pros: print quality except as ink level drops, easy setup
Cons: poor low ink notification, false paper jam notifications
Model Number: HP Photosmart 7515
"Easy setup, good packaging, good quality printing, worked well for a few weeks. Ink level indications were always poor and ink had to be changed before indicated as low. After a month started showing false paper jams, but recoverable. Finally during a false jam indication the printer died and would never power on again. Maybe a rare problem, but reduces my confidence in HP printers."

Good Printer
Model Number: HP Photosmart 7515
"I was in the market for a new all-in-one printer that included a fax/copy/scan. This seemed like a good deal. The reviews were good. I wasn't looking for a good photo printer, but I'm happy with the purchase. I have been really impressed with the photo quality. The prints so far have printed fast and with good quality. I'm also impressed with the packaging. Instead of a lot of plastic bags, the printer is enclosed in a recyclable/reusable bag. The ink cartridges also have an option of buying cartridges that extend the life of the ink. This is important to me because I hate wasting money on ink."

Good purchase
Pros: easy to use, love e print, efax
Cons: multiple cartridges
Model Number: 7515
"I love the printer the only thing I don't like about it is that you have 5 cartridges to buy since every color/photo/black have to be installed at all times. but there are places to get refurbished cartidges for it and costco does refills."

Bad batch of printers?
Model Number: HP 7515
"Read really posititve reviews for the 7515 before purchasing. Set-up was fine, but I am getting those pesky black lines that many have noted in the negative reviews. Nothing works to resolve, so I am taking this one back. Seems like recent reviews are poor and older ones a bit better, so maybe a bad batch of them made their way to Costco."

2nd one purchased
Pros: easy to set up, works like a charm, ink is refillable
Model Number: HP Photosmart 7515
"I originally purchased the photosmart 7510 for myself. I use my iPad at night in bed and print recipes. They're at the printer in the morning and ready for cooking. I purchased the 7515 for a friend of mine and installed it for her today. She immediately was able to print a picture from her iPhone and it was love at first use."

Limited Use
Pros: nice compact design good quality printing
Cons: faxing - cannot fax for free
Model Number: 7515e All-in-one
"I purchased this to have a all-in-one for basic home use that could be wireless fax and eprint. The eFax feature is not free, you have to pay monthly subscription in order to send or receive faxes that is completely internet based from a 3rd party vendor. The software provided with the printer says you get 20 free sending and 20 free receiving per month which would be adequate for my use except the provider discontiued the "free" service and now charges a monthly fee.
Although the printer seems to do a great job and its speed if adequate for my purposes, it is lacking in being able to fax, and does not have the option of faxing from a landline.
I felt very mislead once I got the procuct installed and tried to send a fax, only to find out I needed to pay a monthy fee. This is not as advertised, and the HP website says it includes up to 20 in and outbound faxes for free per month."

Don't waste your time
Pros: price
Cons: doesn't work
Model Number: HP7515
"I've always had HP printers but they just seem to keep going down hill. I purchased this one to replace an HP C6180 that has quit feeding photo paper. Bought it at Costco thankfully (easy return). Took it home set it up and it wouldn't recognize one of the ink cartridges. Exchanged it for another one. Set it up and it would print once and shut down and would not come back on until you unplug it and wait a couple of minutes and then plug it back in. Took it back and bought an Epson Workforce 645. So far that looks to be the best printer decision I've made in a while."
