A great machine for advance and beginners

Pros: so many stiches including decorations, a lot of automatic features
Cons: manually set tension
" I had an older Singer machine that eventually couldn't be fixed so I got this one to replace it. My old machine was all manual, nothing was electronic or automatic so there's a lot of improvements for me.
The case I feel like though for this price should have been a hard plastic one and not the cloth one that was given. I was looking for a carrying case but this is more of a dusk cover.
The automatic threader is really hard to learn how to do but once you get the hang of it, it's a great feature.
I was hoping that this machine would also be able to figure out tension on its own but you still have to manually move around the dial. Everything else is automatic though just as width, length of stiches, etc. But you can always change those too if needed. The machine has default settings for each stich.
The video/DVD is a general, overall one for all of Singer's machines. I wish that there would have been at least one section of the video that was just for the Superb machine because some features are different from machine to machine and it forces you to read the manual to know exactly how it works for the machine that you have.
I've never really done decorative stiches beforehand or even thought of doing that on pillows, blankets, purses, etc. but with this machine I will probably start doing that. There's even the ability to add a thin ribbon to the bobbin to sew into fabrics too. "

two machines is enough

Model Number: lb-6800
" Did the research and finally decided on the lb-6800. First one came and within three sessions on the machine the presser foot lever broke and the foot would no longer raise or lower. Exchanged this machine for another and within two sewing sessions, the thread gummed up at the bobbin and required professional service. Returned it yet number three. Switching to singer. "
