So far so good
Pros: good print quality including color, fast printing, easy set up
Cons: can't wake up printer when its in sleep mode

"I thought the set up was easy including the wireless. Prints out very nice copies, scanner is great. this could just be that I havent figure out an adjustment but when the printer goes into sleep / energy save mode, I have to shut it off before it will wake back up."

Should have stayed with a Brother machine
Pros: great color print
Cons: scanning can be difficult adf jams

"The color reproduction on this printer is great. Too bad it did not carry over to the scanning. The ADF jams constantly. If you try to feed more than 3-5 pages it misfeeds. The interface is horrible."

Worst Purchase

"Nothing is easy on this printer and it does not work very well. Duplex scanning takes forever (page goes back and forth and back and forthg too m,any times).
The user interface is terrible & there are too many paper jams.
You get an error and there is no obvious way to correct the error.
I'm returning this printer as soon as possible."

THRILLED!
Pros: beautiful copies; scanning is a dream., powerful yet a reasonably small footprint
Cons: pages do bend slightly but straighten when cool, no usb conectn incl-make this detail more obvious, toner replacement is $$$ - it's a commitment!

"The Canon printer is perfect for my use! No more need for outside printing services for my business! The set up took about 1/2 hour or so and the instructions are so clear! The manual even gives an inventory of the packing pieces to be disposed of! That is crazy-complete!!"

Nice all in one
Pros: nice to have everything in one place
Cons: alot of features to learn about and will take time

"I am just starting a small business and have found this to be just the item to handle all of our needs in an easy to use format. Not to hard to set up, but I did have to contact customer service related to difficulties receiving faxes. They were very easy to work with and we resolved the problem relatively easily (they had to send a new unit which was here the next morning)."

Pros: color wireless 2 sided copies fast printing.
Cons: heavy no second paper tray problem receiving fax

"The copies in B/W and color are excellent. Warm up time is very fast. I replaced a 8 year old Canon image-CLASS printer with this one because I wanted color and wireless ability. I have had it for 1 month and it has worked great. I like the 2 sided copies, it saves paper. Hook up was fast and easy, about 20 min. I will purchase the second paper tray option."

Not for Macs
Pros: pretty

"After purchasing this printer and spending an hour on the phone with tech support, I learn that the printer driver for Macs is permanently set to duplex printing. The PC driver allows you to change between one-sided and two-sided printing. So every time I print every document I must go into the print menu and manually set single-sided printing. The tech support person also indicated that the scanning driver has limitations for Macs. Canon should not advertise this as Mac compatible."

Complete printer. Easy set-up

"I was looking for a color laser all-in-one system. I have the B&W version of this printer and have been very happy. SO I trusted Canon and ordered this color laser printer. Set-up was very smooth. I could add it as a wireless network printer very quickly and faced no problems. I have both Mac & PC computers. The color quality of prints (both photo and graphs is superb. Speed is very good. It prints duplex (2-sides)."

too complicated

"We returned this printer after 1 week. We didn't do any printing with it because it didn't come with a USB cord. During that time I read the booklet and found that everytime I changed the paper type or weight I would not only have to change the paper tray but I would have to go into the programming and change the set up. It is because there is such a wide variety that this printer can do that I would have to do these extra steps when I use only about 5 print options. That was way too much hassle for me."

Great Printer
Pros: many features compact design fast good quality
Cons: documentation could use improvement
"The Printer is very fast and has terrific print quality. I found that setting up the wireless was a bit tricky but Canon user support walked me through. The printer has many features and options so it took me a while to learn how to use them. I am very satisfied with my purchase."

Best Printer for its money
Pros: tons of features
"I bought this printer and i have using it since then. setting it up was a piece of cake. the wireless feature works very good. I love the scaning to PDF with the press of a single button. This printer is very very good. The functions it has beats all other printers i have had. I have a cannon ir3570 and cannon beats h thus far.
in less than 5 minutes i was printing , scanning to pdf, emailing, and faxing.
