Great serger for beginner

Pros: great price, easy to use-with some learning
Model Number: 14SH764
"This is my first serger and so far, I am very happy with it. You do have to spend some time reading the manual and watching the DVD to learn about threading the machine, but with some practice, it is very easy. The included tweezers help greatly with threading. I was having troubles with my stitches looking loopy and loose, but having searched on the internet and talked to some people, I now set my tension dials to 0 everytime I have to rethread and that has helped solve that issue.
For the price, this is a great starter machine and so far, I am very happy with it."

Lemon

"We sent this as a gift and it did not work right from the get go. The tension was damaged. I should have read carefully the number of reviews on this product and especially Singer in general. Their products have gone down hill. They are cheaply made and the results are what we experienced. We bought our daughter in law a Janome and it has been fantastic. Much better quality. On the bright side, Costco was true to their refund policy. Our son returned the product and they gave the cash instantly. This is why I trust Costco They are a great company and this lemon product is very unusual for them."

Works great

"The serger works great, but the threading is an absolute nightmare. The lower looper is impossible to get to, even with tweezers, and I'm afraid I might have to take the machine apart to even get to it. The last hole to thread through is located under the needle plate!"
