Amazing product
Pros: comfy grip digital temperature set up easy fast
Cons: only 110 v i wish it can work on 220v
"After my older Chi iron broke, I tried several irons but all had to go back to the store because they were not as good as my older iron. I tried the GHD 1" but it was not hot enough. I also bought the "My Styler" set from the mall but still couldn't keep it cause the iron pulls a lot of hair out "ouch".
I decided to try this one and if I don't like, I can return it to any Costco store. It came out to be amazing. I can set up the temperature so I can use the high heat for my hair and lower heat for my daughters' hair. my hair is fine, wavy and frizzy. This iron made it so silky and super shiny without even adding any smoothing oil. The grip is so comfy and easy to manuever. Heats up very quickly and irons the hair super fast."

Nice design but just doesn't compare to my Chi.
Pros: great design and packaging, nice smooth titanium
Cons: hair does not stay straight, hair isnt as shiny and smooth, does not heat past 400 degrees
"I loved the look and feel of this product. The packaging was very nice and felt high end. The on/off and temperature control buttons were inlaid so you don't accidentally turn off the flat iron or change the temperature while doing your hair. The titanium plates were great quality and they did adjust and align smoothly while doing my hair. I could run the flat iron easily through my hair without it ever snagging, stopping or causing kinks. The plates are so smooth and even that it would slide through my hair even when it was cold. With my Chi I often get kinks if I squeeze too hard or if it isn't hot enough. Also the cord is very long and uses a regular plug so it only takes one outlet, which is always nice. The digital display shows OFF when it is still plugged in but turned off and when it is on it shows a different color for different temperatures and is a nice feature. I loved everything about this flat iron except one very important feature. My hair did not stay straight. I believe the problem is that it does not get hot enough. I am not sure but that is all I can come up with for why it does not work as well as my chi. I tried it for weeks but got frustrated that I would wake up with waves and have to redo my hair. With my chi, even though it doesn't glide through my hair as smoothly as this one, my hair is straighter and shinier and I can pretty much do anything (except get it wet) and it stays completely straight."

Love it if it works
Pros: no tugging
Cons: wouldn't shut off unless unplugged
"I really wanted to try this iron, but it wouldn't turn off - kept blinking in the "off" position. Had to return it. Orderd another one, so will see if the new one works correctly."

Broke in less than 3 months
"It worked awesome, but then all of a sudden it just kept reading error on the temp gage. I was in the middle of doing my hair! Great thing is, it was purchased here through Costco and they do stand behind thier product. Returned to my local Costco wth no problem. Will actually order another one to replace because I know Costco will always stand behind thier product."

Works beautifully
Pros: lightweight, long cord, unit doesn't feel hot to the hands

"Best iron I have purchased since my Chi many years ago before they cheapened them up. My hair is very thick and this iron is so lightweight and easy to use. My hair is smooth & shiny. The cord is extra long which is nice and no hair catching in it. The temperature can be adjusted up to 400 but it doesn't feel that hot on my hands nor burn my hair even. I am very much enjoying this product."

Fantastic Flat Iron!
Pros: heats up quick, adjustable temperature, easy to use
"I tried the GHD and could not stand it! This Metropolis Flat iron is amazing, though! No burnt smell and overheating which I had with the other. Adjustable temp for my fine, wavy hair (300*). Turned it into smooth silky strands with minimal effort. Heats up very quickly. Extremely satisfied with my purchase!"

Does not straighten
Pros: lightweight
Cons: plates don't align, does not straighten due to slick plates
"The plates are too slick that it slides down the hair without straightening it. Also, the plates are supposed to align when hot, but they didn't which made my hand hurt trying to squeeze them together as I attempted to straighten my curly hair."

not what i expected
"I got this flat iron for christmas was so nexcited then used it for a couple days not at all impressed. My CHI works 100times better. Leaves hair still wavy and ends very dry and course. Do not recommend this iron to anyone"
