Great Buy
Pros: nice looking quiet enough feel durable
Cons: lights to bright but can change to mr16 20 watts
"The package got shipped quickly and got to my house in a few days. Heavy box. Unpacked and everything is there. I am replacing my old commercial hood out with 10" duct so I had to get a 10-8 and then 8-6 inches reducers to fit with this one. Installation is straight forward and if you follow the instruction well, you will have no problem finishing the job. It is a two person job of two days. At the end it is worth it. The first speed fan is very quiet, the third one is loud and I think that is normal.The first level light is too bright the second one is perfect. I think I will replace the bulbs with 20 watts (it comes with 50 watts which is too much)"

Great looking & very effective
Pros: very solid and elegant. exceeds expectations.
Cons: installation instructions need more detail.

"We're very happy with the result. This range hood moves a lot of air very quickly. The task lighting is excellent with two light levels (hi & low). Fan has three settings. We installed it outselves. The hardest part for us was the duct work, but installing the hood itself was relatively easy and took about 3 hours, not including the duct work and drywall repair. Installation instructions were adequate but not as clear as we would have liked. We are very satisfied with the end result and recommend it to anyone. (Won't work for ceilings over 9' high without additional construction.)"

Great product but fantastic customer service
Pros: construction quality features & ease of install, costco customer service is the reason i've, been a member since 1994

"I odered this it based on it's style and past positive experience with Costco. The unit arrived and appear to be perfect however it was lightly damaged in shipping. Costco stepped in, sorted on the problems and full replaced the unit all in time before Thanksgiving.
The fit finish and overall quality are exceptional. Installation was easy for a contractor and functionality is far better than I expected. The 3 speed fan is powerful but only loud at the highest setting, a timer feature is included which is a nice addition and the lighting is bright with 2 intensity settings."

Love it!

"When I decided to install an island range hood I spent quite some time to do the homework--searching online, comparing different models. Finally I found the Valore Lateral Island Range Hood sold at Costco could be the one I wanted: it looks elegant, the price is right.
A week later I received the huge box (over 80 lbs). It was very well packaged. Everything looked good. Since I already completed the wiring and duct work I started the installation immediately. The instruction was very well written so just followed the steps I managed to install the hood all by myself in several hours (but be very careful doing this, I strongly suggest 2-3 people to do the lifting of the hood). The installation guide does not talk about the duct work. There is no duct comes with the package, so if you want to vent out you need 6" round duct at least the length from the hood to the ceiling. Since my roof vent has 7" opening I did need a few feet 7" duct and a 7"-to-6" reducer.
The range hood is a top notch product. It looks great in my kitchen. The stainless steel goes very well with my other appliances. I have been using it for several weeks. I would say it is beyond my expectation: we used to get a lot cooking odor even in the basement but now many a time I don't smell anything right after cooking. The blower has three levels. The first and second levels are pretty quiet, the third is a little loud but I believe all range hoods are like this unless you have the external blower. The hood uses four 50-watts GU-10 halogen lamps, very bright at stage one and the dimmed stage two looks warm and good enough. I'm trying to figure out if I can replace the bulbs with led types as 200 watts of lights seems too much and they produce much heat. Since installed I received many compliments already.
I had a small issue with the shipment at begining and contacted the Costco. Very quickly the factory company called me back. The customer service was excellent. They are very helpful and solved my problem quickly.
All in all I'm very satisfied with the purchase."

"This range hood is a beast! The shipping weight is near 90 lbs and everything was well protected. Installation was straight forward and the fan and lights work great. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made and really makes the room. If you're looking for an island style range hood with a modern flair, this is the one."
