VERY INVASIVE PGM & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Pros: worked well until...
Cons: intrusive/invasive updates that trash your drive.
"Like everyone else, initially, I thought this was a gr8 program with all its bells and whistles. It was efficient and I even renewed it for our three computers. Then one day, disaster struck. I received a message from K offering a free upgrade. I thought it was to upgrade my existing program. It wasn't.
It turned out it was a whole new software program and as I downloaded it, it not only trashed the K I was running but wouldn't allow me to remove either program since it saw me as a hacker.
Their customer support tried all their solutions, said it was a new issue, that they didn't have a rescue disk and I was basically screwed. Nice. After trying for days, I was finally able to download a removal program from their site onto another computer copy it to a disc, and then run it on my other system. No one at Kaspersky had the slightest clue on how to fix this problem.
They subsequently told me the problem was caused by the new software (a different K program) trying to load on top of the other program which should have been removed FIRST, completely, but they forgot to tell users that salient point.
I downloaded the sample program of Avira (for free) and it works perfectly and flawlessly, and does nearly everything Kaspersky does without endangering my system. I would never touch another Kaspersky product again."

This program crashes in PC sleepmode

Pros: good protection
Cons: product crashes when you wake up your pc
"I used Kaspersky for the last 5+ years with no problems until I got the 5 in one product. In sleep mode the product is disabled and you have to re enable the protection. It's very annoying. I never had this problem before. I might use a different version of Kaspersky instead. Also, download the program from the website or you will have installation issues."

compatability issues with windows eight

Pros: did not pay for kaspersky so will not use
Cons: costco staff online has no clue about problem, poor costco online communications
"I am finally realizing why some people do not have a problem with kaspersky and some peoeple do! The reason is that kaspersky IS NOT compatiable with windows eight! When you end up buying a new computer or Windows eight you will have a change of heart! I am waiting for my new computer and the one I using has keyboard issues hence the spelling of eight for Windows eight!"

Bad Purchase

Pros: none for me
Cons: required to be adminstrator of my phone
Model Number: Kaspersky ONE
"I got this for my Android phone - it took super long time to install even with wi fi and it wouldn't let me update or make any setting unless I gave it the Anti-Theft Protection option. This option required me to grant it permission to be the administrator of my Phone. This could be a fault of my phone so it might work OK for others. This review is based on my opinion for my android smart phone only. I removed it from my phone and returned it at a Costco warehouse for a no questions asked refund. I did not open the disk so I can't review how it works on a computer due to not installing it."

Software Out Of Date - Old Version

"I always use the Kaspersky products as they are extremently reliable and don't bog down the computer as other anti-virus and internet protection softwares do.
I purchased this in October thinking that it would have the latest version of the software (2013) like the rest of the Kaspersky software. The box does not show the version. After opening it and trying to install it, I found out that it was the 2012 software (copyrighted in 2011). As usual, Costco took it back and refunded my money without question."

not impressed

"I hate it and I'm ready to un-install it! We've used mcaffee and symantec for years and this is the first and last time we will use Kaspersky. The others have their pitfalls, but at least they were more intuitive and transparent. Kaspersky is incredibly annoying to use. Several programs have just stopped working and we can't figure out why or get them fixed. When it runs a regular timed scan the computer completely stops functioning so I can't open documents or surf the internet - at least the other companies had a popup that showed the scan status and allowed it to be paused. With Kaspersky it's just invisible so I've had to hard reboot my computer several times. I set it to scan at 3:00 am so I only hope it's actually doing it, there's no 'results' box. It lets you mark things as spam but doesn't have an email spam folder so they just keep showing up anyway - what's the point with that?
we won't buy this again. Total junk."

Product Par Excellence

Pros: ease of installation, gives full protection, lets you install even if the pc is affected, cleans up the affected pc right after install
Cons: full scan mode is very slow
"I am a software engineer that said I was a bit sceptical of the product, until I installed it and discovered the functionality. Monitored on a couple of laptops and a desktop and found out the product works great. A little slow in full scanning, but protection wise this is awesome product. I am continually monitoring and am getting impressed with the features."

Great product

"Installed this on my wife's Imac and Mac book Pro and she was shocked to see how on the first sweep it found 48 malware programs. Those with apple need an anti-virus program and this one works great!"
