Good Value
Pros: good protein source, less "junk" than other bars, i save over 12 cents/par retail
Cons: lacks vitamins and minerals
"Tasty and great to pack in your lunch. When I did a side by side compare with my regular bar, this has essentially the same protein, but has less "junk" in it. I eat 2 a day as I stay active and use it primarily to sustain proper protein levels. It lacks vitamins compared to others, but that what a multivitamin is for anyway."

"These bars taste great and I like it that they are gluten free and no artificial flavors which is hard to find sometimes. They are not much more filling than the regular protein bars and not much more protein or less carbs than the other brands I have tried."

No variety
"These protein bars are great, lots of protein, but I don't understand why I have to buy 72 chocolate bars? Why can't I have half chocolate and half green tea (or other flavor if any)? It makes me feel like Groundhog Day when I eat the same thing every day."

"I bought it because my kids need Gluten Free. I was surprised at how healthy they were in addiditon to being gluten free - great buy. Not too sweet - good for a diet. Goes well in a lunch box."

Love these bars
Pros: great taste, adds variety to the diet plan, gluten free

"The taste is great, like them better than the chocolate. Nice addition to the Smart for Life diet plan. They taste a lot like rice crispy treats. These bars are not intended as an alone protein bar, they are to give variety and extra protein for the diet plan. If you are expecting a Zone Bar or other energy bar, you will probably be disappointed. On the other hand, if you are not on the plan but want extra protein without Gluten and are trying to keep your weight down, this is your bar."

Pretty good bar with lots of protein

"This is quite a tasty bar, and also one with a lot of protein which is good for a breakfast wake-up bar I think. It does not have that awful soy after-taste, but has a nice chewy, rice crispy marshmallow treat flavor. The box shows the bars as having a full chocolate coating, but they do not ; there's only a partial dark chocolate coating. This is OK with me - but they should change the picture then.
I think they could do with a bit more coconut in the bars, also. The main problem I see with these bars is in the consistency of the size inside each package. I have been through one box, and the bars are not uniform in size for the most part. I would still buy these bars again, and may even try the green tea flavored bars, but I wish there was a way to try one first."

Not the best solution for me
Pros: all natural, bland & unexciting, not very filling
"I'm a big believer in snack bars to keep
my body fueled between regular meals,
however these bars are frankly unremarkable. I can't really see myself eating these when they don't fill me up as well as a zone bars that are easily available for $1 each. Probably will return them."

"These arrived quickly in the mail. Tried my first one the next morning and was pleasantly surprized. They were extremely fresh and taste good. It's kind of like a choocolate covered rice krispie but not as chewey. I have been using them for over a week and still like them!"

They're okay...to good...just not great, IMHO

"You may really like these so I don't want to be overly negative but I think they're okay but not great. The protein value is high (I think 18 g/per) and the sugar is low and the fiber is pretty good. Just doesn't feel anything like a real treat. Decent meal substitute though nutrition wise. One more thing--like it that they come individually wrapped unlike the cookies and muffins smart for life sells. MUCH more convenient to throw in a purse or briefcase."

Taste Great and Lose weight!
Pros: the diet works, lost weight in the right places.
Cons: wish their was more variety in gluten free.
"I did the diet with the green tea bars as I am gluten intolerant. You use one half of a bar in place of the cookie. I found them to be way too sweet for my taste. Also the bars were quite small and inconsistent in size. Well I reached my 10 lb. weight loss goal in four weeks.Lost fat retained lean body mass. Now I plan to stay on them for maintenance along with my normal diet. Second time I ordered the chocolate. They are larger, size consistent and much more enjoyable! To the previous reviewer.....To each his own I guess. I Loved the Chocolate bars! Give then a try them....what have you got to lose except maybe some excess fat cells :-) -female age 55-"
