drops wireless connection when hibernating/sleepin
"I'm very frustrated and ready to return this machine. It drops the wifi connection anytime it sleeps or hibernates. Often it is slow when attempting to connect after coming back from sleep/hibernation. I have called Costco's conceirge services and the obvious options haven't fixed the problems. I've changed options that disconnect services if the battery is low etc. I've found many posts about this online but no solutions."

"I am not a computer tech but I have dealt with computers since 1984 in high school, college and beyond and I have owned and operated most brand names, but I have to hand it to Costco and Dell, this is the best machine and craziest good deal ever!!

This XPS is sleek, stylish, quiet, Incredible sound (it has an integrated JBL sub-woofer), backlit keyboard, 8GB and a terabyte of space,excellent and crisp graphics.....must I go on???

I am amazed at the speed and extras, nothing like any other computer I have owned before. I have pushed it and tested it with a lot running and no problems.
Every other laptop has been a pain. Dell, TE LA COMISTE!!! Which means you got it going on Dell.!!!.....Costco's price is amazing.....Thanks for the free security software, the product avilability, the prompt turnaround and the amazing way I was treated at your Pembroke Pines, FL. warehouse last month. Oh and Costco Concierge service which was included is a superior extra. Thank you so much...."

"We are so happy with the Dell XPS 15 Blu-ray Laptop! It was delivered as promised, within 7 to 10 days. I am not PC literate, so was elated when everything installed, including wireless connection by just following the easy on-screen prompts. The PC is quite, and I love the back lit keyboard. No complaints at all!"

Kind of disappointed
Cons: only three usb ports, have a usb 3 external drive and really can't tell, any difference

"No numeric keypad, instructions say to press the num lock key, except there isn't one!! You can't use the ASCII code to enter special characters! This is being discussed on the Dell site too. The only workaround seems to be to program the quick access key to bring up the Character Map and cut and paste. Not a good solution.
I also may have a defective Blu-Ray drive, although I need to do a little more testing. Seems to take an extremely long time to recognize a CD if it works at all."

Good specifications in writting but not working

"The computer crashed in less than a week. It doesn't work well. The start up takes a long time. Lots of issues. I am returning it today. I was expecting this laptop to be working beautifully, but it is not the case. Bulky wire connections. Only one USB port. Heavy, and heats up a lot."

Good all-around specs, but terrible LCD resolution
Pros: cpu / gpu combo, brand, blite keyboard
Cons: tft screen - maybe the most important thing
"The specifications are decent for the price. Discrete GPU and fast quad core processor. Backlite keyboard etc...all that to drive the "impressive in detail" as they claim graphics on a 768p TN monitor. That's the industry standard for almost all cheaper than $1200 15-16" class laptops, still inadequate for even students working on anything more than word processing. XPS supposingly aspires to professionals too..laughable, unless you are a pro in FB..."
