Great picture quality for the $. Sound, no.

Pros: 1080p resolution, wide variety of inputs, led backlight, excellent video performance for the price, wall-wart power supply
Cons: lousy sound, flimsy base, slow channel scan, wall-wart power supply
Model Number: LE15AB
"I originally purchased these inexpensive monitor/receivers as booth video monitors for film festival use, but pressed one into service to watch TV while in my garage.
The picture quality is amazing for the price, offering up to 1080p resolution (maybe the 720p label in the product description picture is an error?), very good brightness, accurate color reproduction and and a very good field of view.
Sound, on the other hand, is thin and tinny, like that of a 1960s-70s transistor radio for those old enough to remember those. Many laptop computers sound better than this set.
Other items: The screen can be tilted forward or backward a small amount, but tilting brings out the flimsy feel of this unit's base and support arm. The channel scan feature takes over ten minutes to complete. A wall-wart power supply is used, which has its pluses (flexibilty, easy replacement) and minuses (an outlet hog).
On video performance alone, this unit makes a great, inexpensive portable monitor for digital video production and as a preview monitor for projection; for this reason it would merit a solid five stars. Factoring in substandard sound and other factors, the final rating is based on its primary use as a TV set."

"I have bought two of these units. The first was inoperative when received. Had many lines going every direction. Returned.
Second unit worked when received. It required a considerabe amount of messing with the controls to get the picture looking fairly good. It then stopped responding to the controls both the remote and the buttons. It would work for a while and the picture would fade and there would be no response for a while. Unit is being returned. Will not reorder."

cheep tv

Pros: ok picture
Cons: very poor sound
"The TV itself isn't so bad but the sound quality is really poor! Talk about "tin can"..!
I rounded up an old set of computer speakers and rigged them to work through the earphone jack. It sounds better now but shouldn't have to go to the trouble to get decent sound.

Impressed!

Pros: price picture color clarity descent sound, warranty + extended warranty option
Cons: none that come to mind
Model Number: LE15AB
"I just received this set a couple days ago and hoped it would meet my expectations which weren't that high... after all what do you expect of an LED HDTV at this price? This is one of those nice surprises that come along once in awhile. I have it hooked to a small powered antenna from a home retailer and am astounded by the picture clarity, I adjusted the sound to all bass no treble, warmed the color a bit and can't believe I'm watching the Olympics in hi def via a wave in the air.just like the old days! Radar Love, baby. FYI if you want to use it in a RV trailer or boat the power is 12vDC 2A, so I expect to get a cigarette lighter plug and won't need to worry about 110v source, The TV end is about a 3mm plug? Outside shell is negative polarity, inside positive... should be pretty standard issue as used in similar 12v power plug devices."

good picture with wierd sound

Pros: picture price size
Cons: sound
Model Number: 915151
"The picture on this little TV is very good. It's the sound quality that is lacking. It is very annoying - sounds like the speaker phone of an old cell phone. However, the size is perfect for its placement in our kitchen and the price was unmatchable - and we looked all over!!!"

Nice Little TV

Pros: good tuner and excellent reception, power source adaptable to rv, good tv picture
Cons: narrow angle of view
Model Number: Sigmac 15" LED HDTV
"After two weeks of almost continuous use this little TV has performed very well using it as a computer monitor and for both satellite and off-air reception. Exactly what I expected and needed for a very small TV. Have ordered a second one.
If you are looking for a 15 inch type of TV, nothing better that I have seen on the market."

A PIECE OF JUNK

Pros: cheap
Model Number: NONE WHATSOEVER
"This TV had to be ordered online. When I had hooked everything up and turned the unit on, it was obvious that i had let the price sway me into buying A PIECE OF JUNK. I couldn't get it packed up fast enough to return it to Costco. The SOUND was so tinny that it was unbearable. The unit was NOT USER FRIENDLY at all. Even the clerk at the return desk at Costco said "I can't believe Costco would even sell a piece of merchandise as cheesy as this TV."

Great picture

Pros: easy to adjust
Cons: my remote was a dud
Model Number: Sigmac 15 inch
"Loved being able to adjust picture, sound, etc. with menus. Sounds great, amazing, picture for that size and I had it on rabbit ears (aka HDTV antenna). I couldn't get the remote to accept different channels unless I moved up and down with the arrows. Company sent me a new remote. Fast ship, easy setup, VG color."

Great TV

Pros: picture quality, ease of setup, price
Cons: none
Model Number: LE15AB
"In reading the reviews about the TV's sound, I almost didn't buy it for our kitchen. Because of Costco's return policy, I decided to take a chance and order it. I am glad I did because it's a GREAT little TV for the price. I followed some of the suggestions I read in the reviews regarding the sound, like turn down treble all the way and turn up the bass all the way, and the sound was much improved."

A good deal

Pros: price, nice picture
Cons: sound
Model Number: LE15AB
"The reviews were pretty much right on. It has a excellent picture but the sound lacks fidelity. I use on my desk and the sound does not bother me. What I discovered is that if I hook it up directly to my cable service and not to a cable box I get a number of sub-channels. For the price it is a good deal....."

Poorly made 15" TV

Pros: price
Cons: inadequate picture width, very poor sound, bass and treble settings useless
Model Number: LE15AB
"Although the price is right, there are two glaring defects with this tv. First, the screen will not show the full width of the picture. Changing the picture mode does not reveal the outer parts of the 16 by 9 broadcast picture. Second, the sound is shrill and tinny. The speakers face the rear and changing the bass level does nothing for the sound. The bass and treble settings are useless."

Sigmac 15" LED HDTV

Pros: good picture, 2 hdmi ports, can use as a computer monitor
Cons: bass sound poor
Model Number: LE15AB
"Purchased this TV to fit a small location in our corner kitchen cabinet that previously housed a 13" analog TV. For occasional use it works just fine. Picture clarity is quite good. Speaker system as previously reviewed is lacking any adequate bass tone. I found that adjusting bass all the way up and treble all the way down made it sound acoustically somewhat better. What helped the most was placing two strips of duct tape across the rear speaker grills which allows the entire interior cavity of the TV to act as a sound box and the bass is better.
Remember, duct tape is like The Force. It has a dark side and a light side and it holds the Universe together!
The TV does have a Favorites setting so if you are connecting directly into a cable outlet without any digital box you can do the auto-scan and set up a list of channels you normally watch (you will not get blocked channels). Easier to pick from a list than punch in a bunch of numbers like 27-005 to get the digital channel 27 you want."
