Pros: speak in to the unit. (that you carry with you)
Cons: a bit big...but doable

MediPendant™ Medical Alarm System
Pros: speaker in pendent. no fees or contracts.
"What we like is the speaker is on the pendent and you don't have to yell to a speaker box. Easy set up. No extra fees and charges, the customer service people were great. We are so happy with our purchase. Thank you."

"After trying other products, MediPendant is our solution! Activation staff was very helpful and patient. The range for the pendant is as advertised, and my mother is pleased with the pendant’s durability, comfort (she wears it around her neck), and sound clarity. She has gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, but this is something she always wears. We feel that you can’t put a price on our family’s safety, but the pendant is a really good deal too! Thanks to Costco for quick shipping as usual."

Worst product ever
Pros: nothing pro about this product!!!
Cons: every thing. had to go out an purchase something, else. what a pain!
"Yes you may be able to talk into it but it is the most cumbersome product. Too big to wear on wrist, falls out of holder for clip on and too heavy to wear around the neck. Worst purchase I have ever made at Costco!!!"

Hope this purchase wasn't a mistake
Pros: easy to set up
Cons: malfunctioned after only a week of use

"Purchased this for my elderly mother who lives alone and has mobility problems. Set-up was easy, but after only a week of use, the pendant started announcing "help is on the way" repeatedly, and could only be silenced by removing the battery. My mother had not pushed the button for help, and called the company to find out why the system was not working properly. She was told someone would call her back right away. Someone did call back after about 10 minutes, and said the system must have been damaged in shipping. Since it was a Saturday, my mother was told another unit would be sent out on Monday, and she should receive it by Wednesday. We'll see how well that one functions, but it doesn't make sense to me that the system seems to have worked for a week before malfunctioning. In addition, the information on Costco's website says that the pendant is waterproof. I do not believe that is the case, because the information that comes with the unit said it is water resistant, which is not the same as waterproof."

Excellent Product

"Like most Costco products, this unit arrived on time and the instructions were complete and simple. The contents were as advertised. Activation was easy and the area of coverage on my entire property was excellent. The audio from the pendant was better than my land line phone. The lock box feature was a nice extra, allowing emergency personnel access to a home if necessary without breaking a window or door. And the price was right -- better than other advertised competitors."

Large Medipendant
Pros: well made has wrist band and clip on attachment
Cons: large and rather clunky.
"I bought this for my Mother, who said "it's kind of large, isn't it." I pointed out that she could wear it clipped on to her waist band, and yes it is large. Too big to wear around your neck, although the cord to do so is attached, and too big to wear with the velcro strap that holds it on your wrist. Other than that, it seems to work fine, just not very feminine. A guy wouldn't have a problem with it."

Purchased for my Mom
Pros: ability to talk through the pendant
Cons: pendant size
"The product came within a few days, and setup was fairly easy with helpful and friendly staff to work with. I did have to redo the setup since with her phone service we were not getting communication through the base unit, but again friendly knowledgeable staff to assist me. Unfortunately after all this Mom was not happy with the size of the pendant (size results from being able to talk through the pendant itself) and we returned it."

Peace of Mind
Pros: ability to talk into alarm, fantastic customer service, reasonable price
Cons: must have a land line
"The unique feature of allowing conversation with emergency personnel through the alarm makes this product stand out from the rest. Setup was simple with straight forward instructions. Customer service is amazing. The emergency personnel are professional yet helpful. Frequent tests are allowed and encouraged."

Best monitoring system I found
Pros: see my review, best system i've seen, range, 2 way communication, live operator
Cons: none compared to the other systems on the market
"I searched long and hard for an alert system for my mom. This was the best I could find. I literally tested it from 100 yards away from the base system and it was crystal clear. It's basically like wearing a cordless phone around your neck. Super high quality. The best thing is that a live person comes on whenever the button is pressed and it's like a telephone call. That live operator then goes down a list of pre-set numbers to call for help in a 3 way conference. Outstanding. Well worth the money for the peace of mind. Don't think twice. Just get it."

Great product and service
Pros: range is great, speaker in the pendant, easy to test
"Ordering was easy. The product arrived quickly. Set up was a breeze. Best of all, the range allows my mom to go to her mail box and stay in range of the system. Her old system would only work in the house. I like that she can talk to the service where ever she is. I am very pleased with the unit and I am saving money as well."

Great Product

"One of the big pluses to this product is there is a speaker built right into the Pendant. This is the only one like this that can also be worn in the shower. Like most Costco products or services it is outstanding. The wireless distance of 300 to 600 feet is more than enough. That is like 2 football fields circumference."

Love this product
"The Medipendant was a great purchase for my mother. It was easy to set up/activate and my mother feels much more safe with it. One of my favorite benefits of the Medipendant is the fact it is water resistant and it can be used while in the shower/bath. My mother keeps telling me this is most user friendly product ever!"

"I purchased the alarm system for my grandmother and we are absolutely amazed and impressed of the quality of this two way communicator. We were able to test the pendant and are at ease knowing that she will be safe and have someone to reach out to for help at a push of a button. Easy to follow instructions and very reliable."

"I purchased this for my elderly mother and I can't begin to tell you the peace of mind it has given me and the sense of liberty it has given to my mother. She use to have the life alert but we discontinued use after one time she actually needed it in the front yard, it was out of range to signal, luckily a neighbor was outside that called for help."

MediPendant - Two-way communicator
Pros: 2-way communication w/amazing voice quality, easy to install, worked all over my house., excellent value for price., base station small footprint.
Cons: wish the pendant were slightly lighter - but ok.

"I purchased my MediPendant a couple of weeks ago and am very impressed with its performance. Fortunately, no emergencies so far. I have tested the pendant over the entire range of my home and it performs flawlessly with quick, courteous responses -- they don't mind you testing the pendant, in fact they recommend you do so. The voice quality is excellent - easy to talk back and forth (and hear!); like using a speakerphone. Pendant weighs about 69 grams or 2.4 oz. Includes lanyard/wrist strap/belt clip - your choice. Also very easy to install, good instructions, easy to use and has extra battery for pendant. Water-resistant - can use in shower/bath. Base station small (appx 3"X5") and easy to use - doesn't take up much space. Well-designed."

Easy to Install and Activate

"The alarm unit was very easy to install. I called the # on the box to activate and the nicest person helped me. She was very patient and she took the time to get all of my contact information. She even repeated everything back to me and checked for accuracy. I wore it in the shower this morning and it's working just fine. The pendant is waterproof and I like the rubber trim. It looks and feels very sturdy and well made."

"I looked at many devces. 1. Price is fantastic 2. The alarm is more advanced because you can speak through the pendant. 3. My mother can also press her pendant and ask EMT operator to bridge me onto the call. This is the feature that sold my mother. She did not want to wear an alarm but she's wearing one now!"
