"I don't know about the beef shown on the advertisement but beware of the ground beef that is ground locally. I have purchased hamburger at the Billings, MT store several times. Each time the outside of the package is bright red and looks great but when you dig into it, it is gray and smells funny. It is like they wrap the old beef with a layer of freshly ground beef to make it look good."

"This beef is reminicent of how ground beef used to taste 15 or 20 years ago. Its perfect for the grill, in in meat sauce, for meatballs, but I find it's just a bit too fatty for a meatloaf. Very good product."
"I bought this grass fed beef hoping it would help with my celiac. I am very gluten sensitive and this meat is very tasteful and taste like there has been added flavor. Also I got gluten symptoms after eating. Other than that I would reccomened it to anyone not trying to eat gluten free"

Organic Prairie Ground Beef is ground from organic beef whole muscle and trim. There are no fillers, synthetic binders or organ meats used in our organic ground beef. It is produced without the addition of wheat, barley, rye, oats or any grains associated with gluten sensitivity or celiac disease.
"This beef arrived absolutely frozen with dry ice in the package. I, too, was suprised to see that it was Australian beef...however, it was absolutely wonderful beef. It tastes the way beef tasted when I was a little girl. Yes, there is probably a little more than 15% fat; however, it is still worth the money. Knowing that it is organic and has a fabulous taste...it's well-worth the money! I am very pleased with this product."

"If you're not aware of the health benefits of eating grass fed beef, you should know that you can eat red meat with a clear conscious. For years we've force fed our market cattle with grains like corn. Being rumanates, cattle naturally eat grasses. The switch to corn feeding fattens them up and causes all sorts of health problems....then humans eat the beef and all that badness gets transferred to us. So we've cut way back on store bought beef. However, grass fed beef actually contains healthy omega's and is leaner and lower in cholesterol. Now this hamburger has a great taste but expect it to be different than store bought beef. When you've been brought up eating a certain way, "normal" is a perception. Since grass fed beef is leaner, the 85/15 mix helps the burger keep it's juice while cooking. And since it's grass fed, the fat is not so bad for you. I suggest you cook it medium or less and then wrap in foil for five minutes to let the juices reabsorb. One other thing that I didn't notice when I ordered it; the beef I got was produced in Australia. Although the description does not say this, I assumed it was American produced. No big deal though as Australia has at least if not better safe meat handling rules as America. So I'm totally OK with it. OH yes, and of course you won't find a better price anywhere else!"
