Burner Warped !!!

"I bought this product from Costco December 2012. However we only use Propane, so I purchased a propane kit from a restaurant supplier. However it was very difficult with all the tiny parts that we gave up and returned this product to Costco without using it. We decided to buy the same product from a restaurant supplier already propane ready. BIGGEST MISTAKE !!! I only use this one burner on an average once a week. I use the the other 3 burners on a average once every two weeks. Now the one that I use often has warped !! I wish Costco has a way to upload a photo. The reason why I chose this product is the reviews are good and NXR calls it a HEAVY DUTY range, which at that time I thought I would be cooking everyday but my situation had changed and I barely use this range. The reason why I gave it a two star instead of one star is the NXR customer service is very good. Picked up the phone right away and is sending me a replacement burner since it is still under warranty. However the rep does not know why it warped."

Engineering perfection for serious cooks, cheaply

Pros: powerful balanced burners, well insulated, no unnecessary electronics, robust build, large oven, excellent price
Cons: ill-fitting plastic leg caps, fit and finish issues, some sharp edges, center grate not included
Model Number: DRGB3001
"As a serious, budget-minded cook looking for a range, I was deeply disappointed with what the well-known and generally respected manufacturer's were offering; prosumer ranges that tried hard to marry professional features with consumer bells and whistles but ended up just being kitchen jewelry for one-pot or frozen-dinner cooks. The closest thing I found to what I needed on the professional end was a Wolf 4-burner range. It was inexpensive, but had no oven window, was kind of ugly, and the warranty could not be honored for residential installations. Then I found the NXR. (Cue angelic choir music.) It had 4 equal-powered dual burners, a big oven with convection, an infrared broiler, substantial knobs and construction, deep burner wells that could probably hold an entire spilled pot of soup, a continuous surface (with the available center grate), and unfrivolous good looks. Equally important, it didn't have a digital display in some color that didn't suit my decor or a touchpad with a "chicken nugget" button. Extensive research turned up mostly positive reviews and a few complaints about the quality of the stainless steel and oven chipping. On the strength of the reviews and an inspection of the product at a local appliance store I bought it. When it arrived I had problems keeping the plastic feet on the range when moving it into place as the legs didn't arrive leveled and my tile floor wasn't 100% even. You'll want to tape them or put wider moving pads under them. The oven vent in the back has an angled shield that has sharp edges that are a nuisance when moving but probably won't be bothersome with a flush installation between sections of 3" backsplash. The knobs can be a little sticky at first and may get stuck and cause the ignitor to keep clicking, but they can be adjusted easily. I had to adjust one. I read complaints about some of the stainless steel being magnetic and thus having inferior corrosion resistance. I've noted that the steel on the exposed surfaces (front and top) are not magnetic, but the sides and back are. It's a cost-cutting measure, for sure, but not a great concern to me. With the slick moving pads I put on the feet, it's easy for me to pull the range out, inspect it, clean it, and occasionally apply mineral oil with #0000 steel wool. The performance has been great so far and this is easily one of the best purchases I've made."

Excellent value

Pros: ● sold by costco, ● easy to fix anything using widely available part, ● very good convection oven, ● wide burner spacing open cooktop, ● top has seams but grates cover when in use, ● extra large broiler pan easy to clean, ● double-stack full range burners, ● mostly industrial strength construction
Cons: ● oven not self-cleaning, ● oven door easily removed but fussy to reinstall, ● have to shop elsewhere for the central stovetop, ● oven is shallow (half sheet pans only go sideway
Model Number: DRGB3001
"Had the stove for 8 months now. I wanted induction but, in this price range, it is hard to find anything to beat this stove. Some things to note. Burners are amazing. Don't need a doubleboiler for melting chocolate. Pans do need to be over 5 inches in diameter for anything other than very low heat cooking. For high heat applications, best to use pans more 10 inches or more in diameter. The burners have deep wells which means they catch spills but are far enough from the flames that stuff does not usually bake or burn on. Cleaning is mostly spritzing and wiping with a microfiber cloth. Almost as easy as a glass top induction stove. Do note that, as with some other pro-style stoves, the oven door and sides can get hot when in use. About 140F, so not going to burn anybody but maybe not suitable for families with toddlers in the kitchen. The oven is very accurate once preheated. Does a great job with bread. The infrared broiler is amazing although the convection fan will not run when the broiler is on (so no true top-down convection roasting). With convection baking, my oven seems to run about 50F low but easily set higher when you want it hotter. Best bread I've baked. I've done 4 loaves at a time, too. Oven is a little shallow (front to back) but I had no trouble with a 25 pound turkey."

Loving to cook/bake again

Pros: all the burners are the same., very sturdy grates, easy enough to clean
Cons: don't know where to move the microwave for hood!!!
"I love to cook and my old stove was something to be desired (I was shutting it off with the outside breaker switch as parts of the computer were out). I wanted to have a professional range but the cost was a bit out of reach plus they still seemed to have problems. When I found this one and read other reviews I was really hopeful. Now that I have it I am in love with the fact that all the burners have the same BTU's- can boil water quickly yet go to a true simmer. It puts off so much heat we are going to need a true vent hood instead of the over the range microwave. The blue oven is the bomb and easy to wipe out (I got melted cheese on the bottom the 2nd time I used it) which in my old one I would have just burned off as it was so difficult. I also love the blue color which though I knew it had it was still unexpected."

Pleasantly surprised

Pros: build quality functionality clean appearance, blue finished oven burner temp
Cons: there is some movement at the base of the stove as, it sits on 4 large feet. it may be the weight but, this is not a negative just an observation
Model Number: DRGB3001
"I've owned DCS and looked at all the major premium brands. When comparing features and price there's a clear winner, and big box stores have nothing close. I decided to save $1500 and try this product.
Construction quality is impressive and upstaged by functionality. This range has outstanding performance with 4 commercial grade burners that do a great job.

Beyond My Expectations!

Pros: all burners have simmer ability, fun blue oven interior, high quality stainless steel, professional look, oven shelves are designed so smart for cleaning, ability to easily switch to convection oven cookin
Cons: i wish that each burner had an individual grate, double cooking grate heavy and cumbersome
Model Number: NXR 30"
"I bought a house and converted the range's power from electric to gas. I had ample time to research ranges and found NXR which compared with other ranges that were double or more in price. The men from the gas company who installed my NXR said it was comparable or better than some of the "elite" and pricey manufacturers' ranges they had installed. They were so impressed, and one even took a photo. I love it because of the look and the ability to simmer on all four burners. I found an optional grate accessory online which goes between the burners, making the top have a solid cast iron grated top. I am so pleased and always know that I can depend on Costco to select the best products available. I look forward to many years of cooking in style with the high-grade stainless steel and that very cool blue porcelain oven interior. Couldn't be happier-----thank you, Costco!"

Real Firepower

Pros: well insulated. does not overheat adjacent walls.
Cons: nxr hides the fact that it's made in china.
Model Number: DRGB3001
"We spent a couple of months looking for a serious range for our home. We ruled out all the usual brands for not providing more than one real useable burner. We now have 4 burners that will heat a gallon of water to a boil for pasta in about 4 min. The same burners truly will melt cheese on a paper plate without scorching the paper (I just had to try it). My wife does a lot of baking and loves the oven. No "chicken nugget" or "pizza" buttons and no self-cleaning oven. None are needed, or wanted."

Best Purchase Ever

Pros: good price, high quality materials used, beautiful design
Cons: nothing i can think of
Model Number: 644894
"Buying this range was one of the best decision i've made in my life. The range is made out of good quality materials. The stainless steal finish looks perfectly elegant in our kitchen. I am really impressed with the oven and the burners. It made our lives much more easier because of the heat it can produce and the infrared technology of the oven. Would definitely recommend everyone to buy it."
