Sherman Tank for a Garden Tractor Price
Pros: a very quiet yet heavy duty performer.
Cons: a little on the heavy side for a home office.
Model Number: 79Ci
"I use the Fellowes 79Ci shredder in a Home Office environment and could have probably been adequately served with a lighter product. However, from a business standpoint, I felt that the extra features and the quality build of this product were well worth the upgrade. This is truly a first class shredder -- very quiet and well built with many features usually found on much higher end products."

79Ci Shredder - good product
Pros: pull out bin
Cons: should have auto-shutoff
Model Number: 79Ci
"I recently bought the 79 Ci shredder from Fellowes for small home office and household use. Previously, I had another Fellowes shredder which I bought several years ago for about $70 to $80. It also had a pull-out compartment, but it's wheels (plastic) broke fairly soon, and it took only about 5 sheets maximum, so I made do with horrible noise and slow shredding for quite a while.
I originally wanted to buy another shredder in the $100 range, but they all would have required me to lift off the (fairly heavy) motor/shredder part in order to empty the collection bin, and I did not want to deal with that hassle and possible mess.
After I tried out the 79 Ci I was quite pleased - it is much quieter and shreds more sheets at a time, which means my piles of old documents will be gone a lot more quickly, and still has a small footprint. Yes, you can use a plastic waste bag to catch the shreds, but you need to position the bag just right so it does not interfere with closing the pull-out compartment, plus a few shreds always make it into the bin anyway. So I see no great advantage to using a plastic bag. I had no problem working the shredder, and it does not stop shredding "all the time" as some reviewers mentioned, because of the safety feature. It works perfectly fine.
The only improvement I would add is an auto-shutoff feature: You need to turn it on to start shredding, and when you stop shredding, it should turn itself off after a few minutes. Other than that, it's a very good product."

Heavy Duty Shredder
Pros: heavy duty motor
Cons: the slide out bin seems a little bit flimsy.
Model Number: 79ci
"I've had the shredder for about a month now. It is heavier then I thought it would be, but not a problem. The motor assembly is well built. I have dropped unopened envelopes thru it without a problem. I was concerned about the bin filling up too quickly, but it seems okay so far. Fairly quiet. It has enough built in safety features so you should never have an injury from it."

Save your money
Pros: easy to return
Cons: sensors
Model Number: 79Ci
"Very average for the money. The sensors are a constant pain I had to shut off the anti-jam sensor or I would not have been able to shred anything but a single sheet of paper (for the most part). Then if you have something small that triggers the motor but didn't get pulled in good luck pushing the paper in because (surprise) another senor won't let you touch the area around the entrance. It can be done but it's a pain."
