All cartridges are needed even for black and white
Model Number: HP Officejet 6700
"The printer will not allow you to print in black and white if one of the color cartridges is empty. Forcing you to purchase all the cartridges even if you think your not using them."

Worst purchase ever
Model Number: HP Officejet 6700 Premium
"I am very disappointed with this product. It prints fine but the top loader doesn't work. When I want to copy something I always have to pull the plug out of the back several times. It will not scan and it is stuck on paper jam even though there isn't one. The color isn't as good as the photosmart I had before. I will be returning this product and maybe trying another photosmart instead even though the ink is more expensive."

HP product quality declining
Pros: nice printing when it worked.
Cons: printer failed and hp will not provide support.
Model Number: 6700 Premium
"I've had good experiences with HP products in the past, but this printer stopped working after printing only about 40 pages. It will not print now and gives no error code with which I might be able to fix the problem myself. I went to the HP product support site to try online chat. After entering my serial and product numbers, I was told my warranty had expired and I could not get their support. I had only bought the printer 33 days prior! I am taking this back to Costco and looking at brands OTHER THAN HP."

Broke 26 days after warranty ended
Pros: great features prints nice and fast
Cons: broke just after a year.
Model Number: CV078A
"I've been a big fan of the HP products for some time. I've enjoyed years of use without issues with my other HP printers. Unfortunately, this printer failed 26 days after the warranty, just after I installed HP's really expensive ink. The print head failure that I'm getting is not user replaceable. There are some Youtube videos that show you how to tear the entire product apart to remove it but it's just to evolved. I'm checking with Costco now to see if it's covered under the 2 year warranty that they offer. Also, when I checked online I found that the 6600, 6700 and 8600 models all experience the same types of problems. If you buy, get the extended warranty."

Good when it works, but serious network problems
Pros: print speed, duplexing
Cons: unreliable network connection, doesn't play well with windows xp, slow to print the first page
"The 6700 prints pages rapidly once it starts printing. It is rather slow to wake up and print the first page, somewhere between 15 and 30 seconds. But the real flaw is in the network support. It's advertised as wireless, network-ready. When it works, it works fine. But more often than not print jobs fail, reporting that the printer can't be found (from Windows XP). The printer is on line, can be "pinged" from the Windows shell so clearly there is no network problem, the problem is in the HP printer driver. The only way we've found to get it working again is to reboot the Windows computer. If that weren't bad enough, on at least one Windows XP computer the printer driver appears to break network access for a number of other applications. I haven't tried a USB connection because we bought this specifically for its network capabilities."

Started Out Okay
Pros: connectivity to multi-devices airprint/eprint, scanning either from pc or to pc/mac works great
Cons: known issue with auto paper feed
Model Number: HP OfficeJet 6700 Premium
"The HP 6700 is an easy to use printer, and I've used both the email-print and the air-print for remote printing via email and local printing from both my iPHONE and iPAD. After just 250 pages of printing it can no longer auto feed paper without the "Out Of Paper" error. I've followed HPs cleaning techniques but it still does it on 99% of all jobs. I found that if I get the error, I can just click "OK" indicating that I corrected the paper, but really never touch it and it continues the print process (have to do this more than once sometimes during the multi-page print job). On several jobs it spit out 20-25 pages during a 7 page print job and messed up pages by mis-printing half a page. So if you don't mind wasting paper, re-feeding, and clicking "OK" all the time, its a workable product."

Not sure which is worse, waste of money or time
Pros: it wasn't as much $ as the canon's...for a reason
Cons: see review
Model Number: 6700 All in One
"1. Printer randomly makes noises throughout day. 2. Takes about 1 minute to print one sheet wireless (have not tried direct hookup) 3. Slower than printers from 10 years ago. I am not kidding. It makes this "get ready set go"...ramping up noise.... then... it just sits there, and then about 30 seconds later the printed sheet starts and it stops half way through to rethink....then continues printing. And yes, I have all the latest drivers, firmware, etc."

Review 9 for HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Inkjet Printer
"Worked great for a few months. Tried to print from my computer and my iphone, and got the messsage misssing printhead, if problem persists, contact HP. Whch I did. Spent about 1/2 hour with tech support, who said I would need to speak with a technical supervisor and they would replace printer. Supervisor said they were not replacing printer, they would send a new printhead, and was very confident if I replaced the printhead it would solve the problem. Said it would take 4 to 5 days, and when i protested, said they would ship overnight. The part arrived, and was obviously not the printhead for this printer. Called tech support and for 1/2 hour technician tried to tell me how to chnage out the printhead, even though I told him the cartridges were not the right number for the printer, and that the printhead was obviously wrong. I was then told that this machine did not have a removable printhead, and that I should try to sintall the print cartridges, which did not fit. Eventually sent me to a supervisor, who said that they would send a refurbished printer in 4 to 5 business days. I said unacceptable. She then said I could pay $27 to expedite shipping. I said no thank you. I woudl go to Costo and return and echange. HP telephoned a few times to follow up, but did not care about my complaints about the terrible customer service. unfortunaely I had to by an HP becuase I want the air print feature. Very disappointed. Hope the new one works. Next time I will not bother to get warranty service, I will deal directly with Costco."

Known hardware problem at 3 months
Pros: nice while it lasts
Cons: doesn't last long, lousy customer service
Model Number: OfficeJet 6700
"Great little printer, until it develops this Known Hardware Problem. At about 3 months, it gives a 0x610000f6 printer cartridge error, which can only be fixed by replacing the printer. HP will offer to send a "reconditioned" printer, but the problem is common. HP's Customer Service rep actually screamed at me when I said that replacing it with another printer with the same problem wouldn't be helpful to me."

Fax Fail
Model Number: 6700 Premium
"Easy set up same lousy HP software . If you use the printer on a wireless network the software is a resource hog constantly searching for the printer when the printer is turned off. Fax will not function with high speed Internet or even DSL. Requires a dedicated phone line or dial up. WOT? Ink carrier failure on day two. Thank goodness for the Costco return policy but no more HP printers for me. My last one lasted less than 18 mpnths and Ink is more $$$ than the printer."

Easy and Fast!
Pros: fast, easy, features, price, close to perfect
Cons: none
Model Number: 6700
"This printer is blazing fast when using fast setting. My only comments:
Printed so fast (b/w fast), it jammed...so I had to print in normal default setting. This only happened once.
Tray is not the easiest to use.
But for the money, quality and features...this is as close to perfect you will find."

Good value, not great as PhotoSmart series though
Pros: speed, auto-document feeder
Cons: scan quality, print quality
"Replaced HP Photosmart C5280 which, after 4 years, is still in mint condition after printing thousands of pages. My teenager son wanted wi-fi and ADF for copying so bougt this one. I hope, this one too lasts that long... Set up takes about 20 minutes and works like charm. Speed is just amazing (print/copy/scan). Print quality is good but not as great as photosmart series. Same is true of scan quality. Except for the power cord, everything is wireless - you can even scan wirelessly (or to a connected USB flash drive). For old schoolers, you can still use HP monitor and preview, crop scanned copies. Just to clarify, page duplexer is available only for printing and not for copying. You can however copy two separate pages on to one sheet (back and front). As with any HP printer, you will spend more on ink than purchase price of the printer. Buy XL series ink cartridge and you can refill it at Costco for up to 4 times. Never, I repeat, never refill at any other place."

Great Printer... Great Price!
Model Number: 6700 Premium
"I've had my new HP 6700 printer for a few weeks and, so far, I am very pleased. It prints and scans great, the wireless works flawlessly and the paper tray holds twice as much paper as my old HP printer. Being able to set up the FAX with the distinctive ring pattern as well as the number of rings was also a feature that was important to me. I use more black ink than color ink, so I do like being able to use an XL black cartridge that is said to print a 1000 sheets before needing replacement. I also chose this printer because the ink cartridges were more affordable than most other printers. This printer has a lot of great features for a great price and I'm hoping it will have the same longevity as my last HP."

Easiest Installation Printer
Pros: easy install, great value, easy to use features
Model Number: 6700 Premium
"This printer sets itself up for you. For someone who has very limited knowledge of computer hardware this was so easy to install, including the wireless. I did not set up the fax so cannot comment on that portion. So far the prints and scans have been great. No problems here!!"

Love.Love.Love.
"Quick setup. Wireless works flawlessly. Features beyond what I expected. My husband wanted to photocopy something and blow up the size. I was sure it wouldn't do that, but took a look. It sure did do it and the quality was excellent.
Only tiny little negative is that it prints fairly slowly.
Overall I love this printer. Now we have one printer, located centrally, for everyone to print to. Love."

"Wireless and ePrint features make this printer a great additon to the home office. Smartphones send print jobs right to the printer (the only thing that hasn't worked was Hold My Ticket purchase) with Android app."

Easy to install
Model Number: HP 6700 Officejet Premium
"This printer was easy to install. It was a great deal through Costco. A special offer due to not carrying the ink I used for my old printer. Love that it is wireless"
