Some good, some bad

"I had a hard time deciding if I should recommend this product or not. I've had this Waring wine opener for about 3 years now and never had a problem with it. I purchased one last month for a friend's birthday and I had to return it as the cork would get stuck in the mechanism and not come out! I was disappointed as mine never did that. Now I'm not sure if I should re-order another one thru Costco or a different all together! :("

Badly designed.
Pros: worked several times
Cons: metal cork screw attached via plastic piece

"This product is badly designed. They have the metal corkscrew connected to the motor via a plastic piece. This basically means if the cork is harder to get out, it will break. As it did to me."

Poor Quality
"I was really disappointed in this wine opener. I used it about 10x and it has already malfunctioned and has stopped working. My other complaint is when you remove the sticker on the front it is impossible to get that sticky residue off and the stainless steel looks dulled and unclean."

Love it
Pros: holds a charge, easy to use
"I purchased this several months ago and is still working perfectly. The cork did get stuck in the top part once, but as soon as I pushed the inside lip that fits over the bottle, the cork would release when pushing the down button also. All in all, I do like wine opener gadgets and would recommend."

Gimmick
"I had used a better system for opening wine bottles, but needed a new cartridge. When I saw this, I thought this would be a good replacement. Wrong! It is difficult (impossible for me) to get the automated corkscrew to screw straight into the cork. The vacuum sealer seems to work, but I'm not confident in it. Save your money; I'm returning mine."

Bought 2 Both broke
"Both one for my husband, it worked great at first. It opened 4 bottles no problem. While using it to open the next bottle, the cork would not come down, Went to Costco and exchanged it, the 2 nd opener worked for 1 bottle and when we went to use it again it didn't work.. The clerk at the return desk said they get so many returns on this product more then anything else!"
