Excellent Product

Pros: cold, great for the price
Cons: none
Model Number: DKC146SLDB
"I was concerned after reading about other coolers that this would not be cold enough, wrong. Just like others I froze the keg. If you do, set it out all night and let it thaw, it won't hurt the beer. I didn't even use the directions, it's real simple to set up, except the regulator directions are very clear. I agree the rail is cheap, I do have mine in a hot garage and I am having not problems at all with it cooling. Coors kegs do fit by the way. I had read that they might not, same size as Bud. Picked it up at the local Costco."

Great Buy!

Pros: price looks easy to set up
Cons: shipping time
"I have had it for a week and have 0 complaints about the kegerator. Looks great, fits a half barrel, and serves beer at 33-35 degrees. All reviews saying the instructions are weak may be true if you have never been to a party. It is very obvious what needs to be done to put it together. The shipping is the only thing I had a problem with, 7-10 days with the ground shipping is not true. It took them 7 days just to process the order and then another 5 days to ship it. Kegerator is well worth the price though!"

3rd time lucky

Pros: cheap
Cons: needs to be packaged better., instructions are weak.
Model Number: 648253
"Five weeks after ordering this unit, I finally have a working kegerator. First one arrived damaged, and seemed to have been repackaged. Think that Danby was trying to offload scratch and dent unts thru Costco. Called Costco and they had no hesitation in sending a replacement unit. Turns out, the replacement unit had a leak in the refrigeration system and it wouldn't get cool. The third unit arrived with damaged packaging, so I was expecting the worst, and wasn't wrong. It was pretty banged up, but worked. Damage was at the rear of the unit and inside, so I decided to keep it."

Beer is good but....

Pros: it makes beer come out. less recycling.
Cons: the instructions stink!
Model Number: DKC146SLDB
"The directions are the worst I've ever seen. They are more hindrance than help. The pictures are small B&W and useless. The sentences poorly translated from Chinese are more like riddles rather than instructions.
It was missing parts and four support calls/emails later, I think we have all the correct parts, but don't really know since there is no parts list in the instructions. Their "Helpdesk" doesn't seem to understand the instructions either as I requested they send me a washer described in the instructions, and they sent me a hose. Thanks, now I have an extra hose.
You have to play with the thermostat, as there is a fine line between cold beer and beersicles.
I'm still having problems with the first poor having way too much foam.
Only had this a month, but am saving the box encase it has to go back.

Great Product!

Pros: price, ease of set-up, works great
Cons: instruction manual
Model Number: DKC146SLDB
"I purchased my new kegerator on about 4 days ago. Picked it up in the warehouse and saved shipping costs. 1st stop paintball shop to charge the CO2 cylinder ($18). After that is was on to the beverage store to pick up a 5 gal. keg of great brew. Came home, took 20 minutes to put the unit together and gave it another hour to reach temp. Poured my 1st glass and everything worked perfectly. I know a lot of people have mentioned the lack of quality instructions, and while it is true that the instructions are pretty vauge with bad photos, the assembly is pretty much self explanatory and very easy if you know the basic set-up of a keg system. The only adjustment I had to make was turning down the psi from the CO2. Was initally coming out at around 22psi. Dropped it down to 12 and it is pouring great. Highly recommend this kegerator. For the price it is a welcome addition to our home."

All my friends are jealous!!

Pros: price, keeps temp, looks good
Cons: the rail on top has never fit properly
"I bought this kegerator about a year ago, and it has been fantastic (knock on wood). I am working on my 5th keg (2 half's and 3 pony's). The temp is great, and works so well, I too froze my first keg trying to figure out where to keep the gauge. All good now, and I stay between 33-38 degrees. My only con was that the rail on top has never fit properly, but who cares. I probably drink out of two to four days out of the week, now with the NFL, and my tap has never stuck like the guy who stated his did. That would not be good. Buy it and enjoy, and make sure to get money from your friends before they start drinking."

If you have a problem forget about service

Cons: danby doesn't seem to stand behind product
Model Number: DKC146SLDB
"We purchase this unit back in May. The first delivery wasn't accepted as the unit was crushed. Second unit after 1 week the compressor started making noises. Third unit came without the protective cage in the back and no drip tray. We took it from our second one as it wasn't taken back at that point. Now the thermostat is not working and the cold plate gets a large chunk of ice built up on it. Appliance Masters came and ordered part 4 weeks ago and still haven't come to fix the unit. Fortunately it still works ok but should defrost as advertised."

DKC146SLDB

Pros: temperature, looks, ease of installation
Cons: tap sticks when not used for a few days, need to add a tower fan for the perfect pour
Model Number: DKC146SLDB
"The Danby DKC146SLDB is a great investment. When I purchased it I was truly worried about the temperature setting getting low enough to cool the keg to a drinkable temperature. No worries as I froze my first keg (impressive). Now I finally hit the right temperature and the unit runs amazingly. Add a tower fan and a unit fan so the air circulates freely and this could very well rival other much more expensive models I have seen marketed. There are lots of pro's but the only con is if you let the tap go a couple of days without using it sticks to the point where you feel like you are going to rip the tower off of the unit. However if you use it daily no worries there at all. Set-up was a breeze. I recommend this unit to anyone looking for a nice cold brew fresh from the tap!"

why did I wait sooo long

Pros: less bottles for recycling more room in fridge
Cons: you might drink more beer
Model Number: DKC146SLDB
"I received this in less than a week and it showed up on a friday!. Xmas in August. ya buddy. It took about 30 mins to put together. Let it sit for a couple hours for the compressor to settle (you know) and then plugged it in. By the time I visited my local paint ball shop filled the tank and picked out a keg, about 2 hours had gone by. Fridge was cold and keg was ready to enjoy. I left the temperature setting as it came from the factory and it has maintained 35 degrees. fixin on my 2nd keg. enjoy!"

Excellent Cost & Feature Set

Pros: best price for excel. feature set and performance
Cons: really can't find one
Model Number: DKC146SDB
"6/7/1012 Waited 2 years for this to become available again. Best discounted price on-line was $520 WITH A SINGLE GAGE REGULATOR! Costco's version comes with a preferred dual gage regulator. Though the brushed steel door is NOT stainless steel, it has a chemical treated surface that is stain, rust and smudge resistant that blends well with other stainless steel appliances. It also has a robust compressor which allows an ideal beer temperature (wet) of 38* with the control set only 2/3 full rotation (wet temp. varies 37.7 to 38.2*F)."

Fine Product

"I purchased this product from Costco Online 3 years ago. Product was delivered within a few days and set-up was easy. Appliance is still working fine. You must make sure to get all of the connections tight. Also, be sure to clean the tap after every other keg or you will get "floaties" in your beer. This is not meant for outdoors or garage. The cooling system is not big enough to maintain proper temperature in a hot environment. Keep it inside and enjoy!"

Great for the Price

Pros: cheap, good accessories package, maintains cold temperature
Cons: not much room with full keg inside
"Bought this unit to replace a much larger Summit kegerator. I was worried it wouldn't get cold enough (I like my beer very cold) but I set it to the coldest setting and it is fine. Not much space inside unit when a full 15.5 gallon keg is inside, it's somewhat tight when attaching the coupler to the keg so you'll have to make sure the CO2 and beer lines are snug in the coupler before you put the keg inside or you won't have room to tighten with a wrench. It comes with pretty much everything you need, including a nice dual-gauge regulator (tells you both CO2 tank pressure and CO2 line pressure). All in all, much cheaper than the Summit unit I previously used but does the same job. FYI, CO2 does not fit in kegerator with full keg inside, but I've read that maintaining the CO2 tank at room temperature is actually better for maintaining your CO2 pressure so I guess that's a plus."
