great little camara
Pros: fits in my pocket even with the longer lens
Cons: not quite the picture quality of my larger camaras

Great Little Camera Love Slow Motion
Pros: great photo quality, compact, slow motion video, high quality construction, ir remote control compatable

"This camera is great, takes brilliant photos and really love the slow motion feature for video. I brought a Nikon D90 DSLR a few years ago and still think it is one of the best things I have ever brought- However, it is not something I want to carry around with me everywhere I go. This is why I brought the Nikon J1 - and it delivers. Can take 5 second bursts of slow motion video (no sound, need good lighting) which is something I have never seen before. Is great for things like sport, kids playing/jumping etc, is very clear. The IR remote (ML-L3) from the D90 works with this camera, which is great for taking family photos - recommend this if you buy a J1. This camera is well made and very easy to use - there is a slight lag after pushing the shutter button, but is better than all other compact cameras I have owned. This is a great camera and small enough to take with you just incase of a photo opportunity."

Quality Pictures - Easy to use

Amazing camera
"Camera set up and "how to" instructions were very easy and straight forward. I have a Cannon Rebel slrs that is awsome but this cameras pictures are so much more clear and vibrant, its amazing how easy it is. I would like a longer range zoom lens than the two it comes with but awsome camera."

"I wouldn't hesitate to buy this camera. Easy to use, crisp, clean action photos, nice video. It works well with my Mac and iMovie and iPhoto. Great price. The camera bag is pretty cheezy, though."
