Good picture but

"It had a great picture. Easy Internet set up.
It worked for two hours then it went black. Will not turn on or off. just flashes a power light at the bottom when plugged up.
I have requested to have it picked back up and return to store.
No longer have desire to own a Sharp.
Waiting for confirmation email from customer service that they will pick up TV. Gave purchased a different TV from costco.

Nice picture, but deceptive wifi

Pros: picture quality
Cons: extremely limited wifi
"Overall, enjoy the TV through cable. But was told that the WiFi is limited to the three pre-loaded apps after calling Sharp about how to get online. The box actually has Facebook and Twitter. But the TV only has Netflix, Roku, etc."

Pretty darn good HDTV

Pros: deep rich picture good detail in hd viewing.
Cons: connector ports are in rear rather than side.
Model Number: LC-70C6400U
"I purchased this 70" Sharp a few weeks after buying the 70" Vizio also available at Costco. The Vizio was very good for a sub-$2000 TV, but, the picture contrast was a little "washed out" especially when viewed from side angles. This was after exploring all settings and forum advice, etc. Returned the Vizio (easy--disconnected and packed back into box by Costco Installer for the new Sharp) credited it and thus bought the Sharp. Contrast and color saturation is MUCH better. Worth the extra cost. Now, the Sharp has been reduced to near the Vizio pricing. BUY it! Plus, since I purchased the Sharp less than a month before, Costco adjusted the sell price and gave me an additional $300 credit, so original price was reduced to current price. Costco is great! There may be a new Sharp 70" coming since the new lower pricing can signal a newer version is in the future, but, if you need one Now, the time to buy this TV is now, before Feb. 3."

Horrible "Smart" Feature

Pros: picture quality
Cons: wireless reception
Model Number: LC-70C6400U
"The wireless reception is terrible, especially when trying to view Netflix which often won't load, and when it does, constantly drops the signal. I use other wireless devices in the same room as the TV and they all perform well. The extra money for the "Smart" feature is a waste. Save yourself that money and get a TV without that feature."

Best Picture, Poor Audio and Functions

Pros: best contrast for "darkly lited" films - cgi, yellow color to adjust overly "blue" flim - sci fi, sensor auto adjust contrast to light in the room
Cons: lousy built-in audio speaker!!!, no picture-in-picture for realtime football games, presumptuous channel selection functions, lousy apps!!! need a good amp or blu-ray.....
Model Number: LC-70C6400U
"The set up seems to be easy. No sure about the probems reported by a couple of reviewers.
In all, the best 70" TV to have for the video quality and the price. Suprise to be able to watch TV in a sun room with three 90" windows all around in a sunny afternoon!!!"

Great picture, but not very smart

Pros: picture quality
Cons: wireless reception
Model Number: LC70C6400U
"Beautiful picture on this TV, but the "smart" apps don't work too well, primarily because the wireless reception is very poor. I had to buy a wireless repeater, and put it right under the TV. Even after doing that, with the TV showing maximum wireless reception (5 bars), Netflix often won't load. When I called Sharp for tech support they said it was a problem with Netflix. Right..."

Not Worth the Money

Pros: nice size and picture
Cons: software updates are a hassle
Model Number: LC70C6400U
"My husband bought this TV and everytime you turn it on it displays a message for about 30 seconds saying software update despite the TV being updated. Call service # and was told I need to pull the TV off the wall and unplug it (not easy to do with this size TV). Ridiculous to buy a brand new TV and have these issues. What happened to TVs that were built to last without all these software updates required."

Stay away from Sharp!

Pros: none.
Cons: poor quality
Model Number: LC-70C6400U
"I have the same problem as two previous reviews. There are approx. 25 whites "blobs" on the screen. These are most noticeable on a light background. I would have taken it back but my store no longer has this tv. Sharp customer service is the absolute worst. They go out of their way to deny any warranty claim. Since buying mine I noticed the display model of the 3D version of this TV in the store has the same defects. I've been dealing with Sharp for 9 weeks with no resolution. It appears the only solution may be a Costco refund."

Same problem as mentioned here

Pros: nice price for the size
Cons: screen defects
Model Number: 70C6400
"I have the dime sized Blob as mentioned in one of the reviews. Sharp service was no help so took it back to Costco and got another one. Same blob in the same place!
Not sure what to do yet, I like the size of the TV, and with proper adjusting (basically turn of all the motionflow and film stuff) it has a good picture. I applied some settings found on AVS forum and got a pretty nice picture.
sigh...."

Good thing I bought it from Costco

Pros: costco 90 day return policy and great picture
Cons: died in less than two weeks, more convenient to return than have sharp fix it
Model Number: Sharp Aquos 70" Class 1080p
"I really like the TV- picture is superb. Only issue is that it stopped working 9 days after I purchased it.
Sharp contracts the repairs out to 3rd parties and unfortunately I ended up with a flaky repair company. After 3 days, I had to call them to see when they were coming.
I was so upset I just returned the TV for a new one. So glad I got it from Costco. Fortunately I still had the box, but it was ALLOT of work having to return and set it up again.
Keeping my fingers crossed that I get no more issues.I believe its best to buy the extended warranty with this TV."

two tv sets in less than one month returned

Pros: good return policy
Cons: dead pixels on two sets in less than one month
Model Number: LC-70C6400U
"I have purchased and returned two sets in less than one month. Both sets had a similar flaw. The flaw was dead pixels that appeared to be much brighter than the surrounding pixels, especially on a light colored background like a hockey game. The area was about half the size of a dime, but very obvious. I contacted Sharp and sent photos of the issue. Sharp considered the set to be normal and did not offer to attempt a repair on the set. Fortunately Costco has a 90 day no questions asked return policy. Needless to say I was very disappointed with the Sharp technical support or lack thereof. Look at your TV closely in the first month for dead pixels. Aside from the noted problem the picture was great! But I won't accept flaws at the price I paid."

Spectacular

Pros: bright sharp picture, built in vudu.com, aquos advantage support
Model Number: LC-70C6400U
"I went from a 15 year old SD to 70" Aquos. Love it. Paired it with the VSX-40 receiver also from Costco. Great sound and great picture. The Aquos' matte screen with backlight is bright even in my bright living room. Aquos Advantage support answered the phone immediately."

Love my new TV!!

Pros: size and picture
Model Number: LC-70LE632U
"Just bought this 2/17/12, great picture. Audio is good but even greater with a surround sound system. Features and functionality are very comparable with other brands you may be more familiar with (LG, Samsung). It performs better than expected. Easy setup and looks great on the stand or Mounted. Built in demo mode is a plus. I am extremely satisfied with the Sharp Aquos.
Family spends a lot more time together in the family room watching this TV.
