Good but Frustrating

Pros: light to pull, tenting off the ground
Cons: defective zippers poles split warped side panel, so so customer service
"We bought this tent trailer to pull behind our van. We took it on the road for a 45 day, 9000 mile trip up through Canada, the Yukon, Alaska and back. It pulled easily. Never knew it was back there! So needless to say, we put it up and down 45 times. My husband & I were able to set it up in 5-7 minutes. Right at about 20 days into the trip, things started going wrong with the tent. All in all, both door zippers split, the seams on the door windows were sewn too close to the zipper making it next to impossible for the zipper head to pass by, one of the straps ripped off the bottom corner, the clips at the end of the straps rusted and two poles split. Additionally, one of the side panels that folds out for sleeping on, is warped so it "pops" every time you move or roll over on it.
Lifetime required we send photos of the damages then sent a replacement tent. They have said they will replace the side panel but continue to give excuses for not being able to send the part for the better part of four months now. Thinking of contacting Costco for assistance..."

great tent

Pros: easy to put together
Cons: wire plug came loose
Model Number: 65049
"I put the trailer together by myself I worked on it 4 hrs the first day including unpacking it. On the second day 5 Hrs and I coated all the wood with Australian Timber Oil to help protect it from road grim. On the 3rd day I finished it and installed the Tent in another 3 Hrs. Haven't used it yet but looking foreward to it."

needs a lot of work, though good idea

Pros: nice utility trailer
Cons: assembly is long and involved defective parts
""First, the good: once you are done assembling you have a nice utility trailer, and something to hold your family bikes when you go camping (this was the main reason we preferred that over a regular pop-up, which, by the end of the ordeal we wished we had gone with). The tent is nicely off the ground and is fairly sturdy with a few exceptions that you have to seal. The tent itself takes about 15-20 minutes to put up over the trailer, if you are working by yourself. Hence again, not the fastest set up in its category, nor does it give you a hard roof.
Now to the bad. The assembling requires substantially above average building skills, professional grade tools that not many handy people have in their garage, and even if you are pretty handy, at least 15 hours of time to spend with it, if you are working by yourself (so count 3-4 Saturday afternoons cancelled for you if you work during the week).
Also expect to deal with some defective parts (one of the bed frames was bent in our case). Also, factor in the cost of your time spent shopping for tools at various stores (you have to drill in the metal, and do some heavy lifting), and the cost of the tools themselves (not trivial in our case). Further, factor in the time to register and insure it (some paperwork and time goes here too).
This model of tent follows an older model (the older model was a bit heavier and more spacious, a bit pricier, but had better beds, mattresses, came with a spare tire, and was more aerodynamic but probably cost a bit more to make, so this cheaper model replaced it. You still likely have to buy the “extras” from the manufacturer such as a spare tire and ramps that are also purported to serve as “queen” bed extensions (the size is nowhere near “queen” even with the so-called extensions, measuring with a simple tape measure and owning up to it would be an honest policy).
If you do get the ramps, you might be left somewhat disappointed. Now as ramps they do a good job (another questions is whether the price charged is justifiable). But they are really weird as “bed extensions”, as you will be able to use them with an air mattress only, but not any other sort of sleeping surface, because you will be unsupported at the corners (head and feet), and will have your back against hard metal rungs that are quite spaced out.
All in all, this trailer might be a great idea again because of the ability to carry the bikes or a canoe, and its light weight, but prepare for lots of frustration before you can enjoy it, as it’s still quite rough around the edges."

LIFETIME RIGHT TIME

Pros: great multi use trailer, pulls easy., tent is easy to put up
Cons: build directions could be more in depth., build order should be re designed for eas of build
Model Number: SAHARA
"I will start out with what I did not like. The build order should start with the axles and not the frame. A couple of other small things that are not worth mentioning. Took me 5 hours to put it together using air tools and some hand tools. I do recommend the use of two drills when installing the decking. One for drilling and one to screw the bolts in. When finished and hooked up you wont even know its back there when driving. The tent portion is a cinch to erect. Took about 10 minutes for me to unpack and put it up. Kids are very excited about our future camping trips."

TERRIFIC! *****

Pros: light weightnced! ., well balanced!, only finger tighten nuts, nuts when assembling, fully tightening befor, fully assembled will, add time to your work, no more having to, borrow my neighbor's, pick up truck!
Cons: use "commercial grade tools" ... an air driven dr, e tools even air-driven!, next time design so the sides, sides slide over the, trailer bed when not, in use and still have, the option of having, the sides up-right in, using it as a utility, trailer
Model Number: ? Just bought it
"My wife and I teamed-up for two days of working together to assemble this "jewel"
Our first trip from Saint George, Utah to CA was totally enjoyable:
- Barely knew the trailer was in tow behind my 2005' Ford Crown Victoria
- Hey! It does not need a license! I did register it, though
- I slept in the cavernous tent sans wife, cuz I am allergic to cats ... Her Mother has 6 (YES!) living in the house!!
- one person can set up the tent!"

Exciting

Pros: light enough for me to handle, very airy and roomy
Cons: long assembly
Model Number: 65049
"Let me start off by saying that I am very thrilled with this tent trailer. Once together I was very satisfied. This is my trailer, not my husbands, he wants nothing to do with it...having said that I put together the thing without much male help in 2 - 4 hour days. I did have difficulty getting the last corner of the trailer to come together...had to call a guy friend to come and muscle it into alignment for me. Also, it truly does help if you have man tools to put this together. When putting together the deck, I used 3 drills simultaneously so I would not have to keep changing the drill bit (a suggestion from a contractor neighbor that lent me 2 drills). I did coach my husband to come out and help me set up the tent for the first time, but having done it once and seeing how it goes I feel very confident that I could do it by myself. I am impressed with the quality of the trailer as well as the tent. Very durable. I am going to weather treat the wood deck of the trailer so that it will last longer. I love that the side supports now connect to the side of the trailer rather than down to the ground. However, I am disappointed that the sides do not fold down over the bed of the trailer forming a small cargo box like the previous model...but this can be worked around and did not stop me from buying it."

Great Crossover Trailer

"Disclosure: I work for Lifetime, however I have taken this trailer out a couple of times for tests and am very enthusiastic about it. It's a leap forward with the changes to wing supports (now supported by the trailer frame rather than struts to the ground). The tent design is lightweight and compact, which means you can haul more bikes and equipment. I liked that our design team put a door on both ends of the tent. You can load stuff straight from the vehicle into the front of the tent once it's set up. Again, I'm biased, but this is a sweet set up - it can be quickly converted from a camping trailer to chore machine. Take a close look."

Love it

Pros: easy to tow and park, quick to set up tent with two people, waterproof tent, well made
Cons: requires two people to set up tent, and first step up is a little steep., can't move tent once set up without taking it down, it comes in a box and required several days to, assemble.
"We bought this tent trailer 2 years ago. Our first trip was 4 weeks camping in the Arizona desert. Fabulous...roomy enough for 2 adults, 2 dogs and all our stuff.
We've used it for all our trips since then and are selling our van camper because it sits idle.
The interior is bigger than our van camper and more usable. During rainy days we set up our table in the middle of the floor and played cards, read books and ate in complete comfort and dryness. We did add a full size memory foam mattress to our bed because the mattress' included were too thin for us to sleep comfortably on. The dogs got the other bed and didn't complain.
We've hauled lots of items, fence panels, riding lawnmower, bricks, and bikes with no problems."
