Awesome Product-Awesome Customer Service

Model Number: GOAL ZERO® Portable Solar Power Escape 150 Explorer Kit
"Not that you should be rating a product on the customer service, since you should never require their service if the product works.. this product does work but I did have issues after 3 weeks in Maui with the screws showing signs of rust, as well as the flashing LED that tells there is solar power stopped working, even though it was still producing the power. I contacted customer service and they shipped out a new unit right away.
The actual battery, light and mug that comes with the kit are all great. I spent a month camping in Maui and was able to stay on the grid even though I was off the grid!

No Customer Service with Goal Zero

Pros: good concept
Cons: lots of styrofoam in packaging
Model Number: Escape 150 power pack
"Difficult experience - unable to speak with customer service at Goal Zero. Made 6 attempts altogether using instant chat, email, phone - no answer during business hours. Wanted to resolve problem before returning the product."

GOAL ZERO® Portable Solar Power Escape 150 Explore

Model Number: 150 Explorer Kit
"I have been looking for a way to get into solar and with a costco demonstration at the store I was sold. The panel case has its own backrest and will charge the battery in one sunny day. It even charges on very cloudy days. It is easy to move around the house, the light has a very long cord and is quite bright. I can't wait to try it out traveling & camping."

Nice Backup Portable Solar Power System

"This is a nice backup solar system for those that camp or need computer or phone power when electricity is not available. It's great for working in the back yard away from a power outlet. I like the double solar panels with the hard case because it is easily protected and can be stored in ther RV and I don't have to worry about it. I did have to call Goal Zero to understand the lights on the battery pack - they are dark lights and I thought that they were not working because they were not lighted. But, they are actually black when they are ON - so, the battery pack was actually working properly. Nice system and Costco has the best pricing for these systems."

A very good purchase

Model Number: Escape 150/Briefcase Solar Panel Kit
"The Briefcase solar panel alone will cost you more than 250.00 These items are used on a daily basis to cut back on electricity use in the home. We have quite a few of these units in use. The LED lamp puts out very good lighting. I live in sunny Kihei Maui so Goal zero products are good to have. Wish this package was sold at our local Costco"
