Screen died, weak graphics card
"The computer is about two weeks old and the screen blanked out and will not come back. I can display the screen through a TV. I hesitate to give it a bad rating in case I am doing something wrong. I bought many Dells and managed a computer lab full of them.
It can probably be returned/exchanged at Costco, but I worry about any personal information that may be on it.

Poor Image Quality
Pros: touchscreen is kinda fun, all in one reduces clutter on your desktop
Cons: pale colors wash out to near invisiblity

"The TouchSmart Screen technology is great fun, but you will loose sight of pale colors.
When looking at the screen directly on, pale and faint colors disappear. You know, like the pale colored box at the top of a search page that shows you what results are ads. Or sometimes the pale outline that delineates a form's field where your supposed to input information. All this is lost unless you crouch down and look up at the monitor. Suddenly, these pale colors reappear.
Yes, I tried adjusting the brightness and contrast, and used all the built in settings for graphics, text and others. I even spent 5 hours on the phone with HP troubleshooting the problem. Which resulted in the complete restore to factory setting and the loss of all the programs I had installed. 12 hours later, I had finally re-installed my software and files back to where I was before contacting HP. And the monitor still didn't perform well.
A visit to Costco to look at the computer on display looks fine when your standing in front of the computer position high up on the shelf. Remember I mentioned it looks good when looking up at the screen. But putting the computer down at eye level looking directly on, and worse from slightly above, and the pale colors wash out to near invisibility. HP representative happened to be in the store when I did this and confirmed my findings.
Thank goodness Costco has a 90 day return policy."

monitor connections limited
Cons: can't use the monitor for other than pc
"great PC, but you cannot connect any external devices to this monitor. No laptops, DVDs etc. I thought this would be great for a personal PC and that I'd be able to connect my work laptop to this big beautiful monitor. No VGA connections so no connecting a laptop. If you don't care about that, it is great, but very poor design in my opinion."
