Cons: 60hz hum, questionable reliability

"Nice price, nice little TV, just want I wanted. Two issues, both TVs have a 60Hz hum at low volume (I bought two). One died after about 2hrs of use, the other is still fine but doesn't have many hours on it."

Great Deal!
"I love the idea of two TV's for such a great price. I use one in my bedroom and the other one is being used as the monitor for my Lorex surveillance cameras (also from Costco-excellent). They both have an excellent picture and the one thing I'm picky about is TV's with tiney sound...these have good sound as well."

Definitely better out there

"I bought the two pack, thinking a great deal, and it was. (One for my office. One for my daughter's dorm room.) Connected the office TV. But like others, the buzzing noise was horrid. However, I disconnected coaxial cable, and power, then reconnected, and it wasn't near as bad (but still present). When TV is playing at normal volume, you no longer hear it. But if the TV program has a quiet moment, you do hear it. (It wasn't as intolerable as first time I connected it, however.)
The worst thing is that when hooked up with a simple coaxial cable, the picture was horrible. There were ghost images behind everything. I tried disconnecting, reconnecting, to no avail. I don't have an option to use the HDMI, which is on the main TV in the same room. This one mirrors bigger TV, but this is on my desk.
In the end, I disconnected, brought back out my circa 2005 Vizio 13" that I bought from Costco, and am using that again. The picture on that TV is far superior.
Pretty sad, because the price was unbelievable. However, it may be fine for a simple dorm room. Mine is going back."

Horrible sound
"The picture was nice, but any time the sound was on (not on mute of sound at 1 or above) there was a constant hum from the speakers. This hum did not change by volume but rather seemed to be a flaw in the sound system internal to the TV. I am very surprised Costco would carry a product so badly made."

"We bought these for the kids Bedrooms and was pleasantly surprised. For the money this is a no-brainer. Even had pretty decent sound. mounted up perfectly with Articulating wall mounts and they are great for this application."

Hitachi 19" LCD TV
Pros: easy set-up, outstanding hd picture, compact
"In my day TVs had names like RCA, Zenith, or Admiral. Today it's mostly unheard of brand names -- there's no way of knowing who made them, or whether they'll hang together and continue working through the next TV show watched. It's truly unfortunate, because of market situations, that Hitachi stopped making TVs. However, when scanning down the list of TVs to buy, the only name recognized was Hitachi. Costco's 2-pack approach was very attractive. Biggest concern --- will the name and the quality of the set turn out to be a wise long-term investment?"
