Garmin Forerunner® 410 Sports Watch

If you’re ready to take your training to the next level, Forerunner 410 can get you there. This advanced sport watch is GPS-enabled and accurately records your time, pace, distance, heart rate¹, elevation and more. Easy Going Your training plan may be difficult — your watch shouldn’t be. Forerunner 410 sports an enhanced touch bezel that lets you quickly scroll and select features on the run, in all types of weather. When your workout’s done, Forerunner 410 keeps working. It wirelessly uploads your data to Garmin Connect™ when in range of your computer so you can go back and review your run on your own time. It works via ANT+™ wireless technology and the USB stick that comes with your watch. No wires, no manual uploads — no sweat. Data, Any Way You Like It Forerunner 410 lets you customize up to 3 training pages with more than 30 different types of data. You can even determine how many data fields are shown on each screen — 1 big field, 2 or 3 smaller fields. Advanced Training For extra training benefits, you can create detailed workouts or race the Virtual Partner®, a digital depiction of your goal pace vs. actual pace. The courses feature allows you to race a previously recorded activity and try to match or beat it. If you like to explore new paths, you’ll appreciate the 410’s basic navigation feature that can guide you back to your starting point. Just follow the arrow on screen and see how far you have to go. Follow Your Heart Some versions come with our premium soft strap heart rate monitor¹ to display your heart rate in beats per minute. The watch has 5 heart rate zones, which you can customize based on your exact zones. Train in a certain heart rate zone to improve your fitness level or compare your pace and heart rate to past performance on the same run. Forerunner 410 provides heart rate-based calorie computations so you can more accurately track your calories burned. Store, Analyze and Share Having access to the data recorded by your Forerunner 410 is almost like having your own personal coach. Make the most of it with wireless uploads to Garmin Connect for free data analysis and sharing. Forerunner 410 is compatible with Windows® or Mac®. With Garmin Connect, you can see the route you traveled on a map, view a summary of your run, create goals, find new activities to upload as courses and more. Fast and Accurate Forerunner 410 features HotFix® satellite prediction, which means it locks onto satellites quickly so you can be out the door and on with your run in no time. It also has a high-sensitivity GPS receiver to stay locked onto satellites, even near tall buildings or under tree cover. While the 410 can be worn as a watch even when you’re not working out, you can also power it down completely in order to conserve battery life. The comfortable strap on our heart rate monitor wirelessly sends heart rate data to your compatible device. Model: GRM0065841

Perfect Tool for Running

Pros: does many things very very well: perfect trainer, light and comfortable, easy to read quickly while running, easy to page through screens for different data
Cons: none!
Model Number: Garmin Forerunner 410
"Blows the phone apps out of the water!
Watch is very accurate and simple to use. Has many customizable features that make training easy and fun.
Virtual Pacer and current lap Pace tools are great.
AutoStop Rocks: Turns off the timer when you have to stop at lights so it does not effect your pace numbers.
Just used the Training app to make a custom 1K repeat workout with .3K cool-down intervals: Perfect. Beeped when I was done with each interval and adjusted lap pace times for the 1K and .3K: Other peoples watches will not do that: our group has some.
Heart-rate monitor is very nice when running hard and recovery runs and monitoring.
Uploads to my computer automatically when I sit down at my desk, using it is natural.
The bezel does take getting used to; but becomes handy when you figure it out.
It takes a second ( 15 -20 ) to turn on the antenna from off "watch mode", so don't just press the start button and take off running: Like my first run. Get into "Training" mode first.
Run more, surf the internet less!"

Two weeks so far - Forerunner 410

Pros: price and looks nice enough for everyday use
Cons: water use - no deeper than 3 feet or 30 minutes
Model Number: Garmin Forerunner 410
"So far - only used on the bike.
The watch appears to be simple - I still have lots to learn though, but seems to be basic and maybe easier for owners who have purchased other athletic watches before.
Bezel use is alright - sometimes easy sometimes hard.
I did a lot of research and $200 seemed to the right price to pay for this quality of sport watch. It's a great price compared to other stores.
I definitely wish it was designed to take into the water. It says not recommended for water use longer than 30 minutes or deeper than three feet."

Loving it.

Pros: worked out of the box, precise tracking and timing, not as heavy as i thought it would be.
Model Number: Garmin Forerunner 410
"I received the watch on Friday, opened the box and immediately charged it for 3 hrs. It is very important to charge it to full battery capacity to ensure every little thing in the watch is getting enough juice to start to work. I set the options and set my setting. Went outside to get my satellite connection and in just 5 seconds it got connected. I tried it out next day along with my android running apps for my routine once a month 1/2 marathon run and it worked flawlessly. I must say the 410 is more precise than the android apps. I still need to change my training field arrangement but it isn't a problem.
My recommendation is to set everything that you need to know about your run, e.g pace, distance, hr, set your virtual partner pace, etc. press the start button and then lock the bezel (press start and quit button together) and go running.
Don't try to any fancy stuffs while you are running and you won't have this Bezel is too sensitive or not working issue. The bezel is great, just need to get a hang of it. I will try only use it for running and turning it off if I am not using it to prolong the battery life. Happy running friends and say hi to me when you pass me.

Great Deal

Model Number: Garmin 410 Forerunner
"I upgraded to the 410 Forerunner from an older model due to the necessity of a Heart Rate monitor. I've used this GPS many times already and have had absolutely no issues. Battery life is great. The touch bezel takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, I'm confident you'll love this GPS. Buying this from Costco will defiantly save you some money, also."

Garmin 410

Pros: great value
Cons: only records average heartrate (not peak)
Model Number: 410
"A really good value, as it was much cheaper from the Costco site than any other I could find. Very easy to learn and use, although the touch-bezel takes a little getting used to. I opened the box, charged it, and used it for a run the next morning."

Everything I Wanted

Pros: accurate, small and light, all the features a runner needs
Cons: training analysis software is weak
Model Number: Garmin Forerunner 410
"I've been a regular runner for 15 years now, and have been using some sort of GPS watch for about ten years. Starting out with the Timex Body Link and ending with my most recent device before upgrading, the Garmin 405.
I really liked the 405, save the one major issue, the bezel. Just about every review on that device warned me about it, but I needed an upgrade, so I gave it a try anyways. I was perfectly happy with it, after learning I could lock the bezel during runs to prevent it from uncontrollably cycling through screens. That was until I learned the 410 had been released, with an "improved bezel". Although I generally only need one screen on my runs (time, distance and lap pace), it is really nice to view the number of other options easily.
My favorite features:
-Lighting fast GPS lock. When I run from the same area as my last run, I don't even see the watch finding my position, it already has a 10-12ft accuracy.
-It's size. You really could wear as a normal watch comfortably
-The training features. You can set it up to beep when you're running to fast or slow (great for long races, when running to fast in the beginning is the most common mistake runners make). You can also race a virtual training partner (which can be based on a pace or a previous run).
-The wireless data download. The first ANT+ product Garmin came out with was horrible. This one really works flawlessly
The only downfall, which isn't the watch it self, is the training software. My best recommendation is download Sporttracks. It's free, and has amazing functionality."
