Customer Reviews for Roland RP-301 SuperNATURAL Digital Piano Bundle

Roland RP-301 SuperNATURAL Digital Piano Bundle

The new RP-301 is a perfect piano for students and hobbyists, with realistic sound and touch, and a small footprint. Packed with practice-friendly features, this piano has been designed with skill building in mind. Its onboard metronome, recorder, and Twin Piano feature make learning efficient and fun. The SuperNATURAL® Piano engine delivers incredibly realistic sound and response, and the Ivory Feel-G keyboard is pure luxury. Enjoy a grand-piano experience at a fraction of the size and price. The RP-301 is available in two stunning cabinet finishes: A classic Rosewood and a stylish satin black. These luxury cabinets will fit with any type of decor and add that elegant touch to the room. SuperNATURAL® Piano The RP-301 incorporates Roland’s SuperNATURAL Piano engine — a cutting-edge technology derived from the flagship V-Piano as well as 88-key stereo multisampling. SuperNATURAL Piano brings a new level of authentic sound and natural performance to the digital domain. Roland’s engineers relentlessly analyzed the complex, ever-changing characteristics of concert grand pianos, faithfully capturing and reproducing the tonal variations based on the velocity of each keystroke. With SuperNATURAL, three key elements are dramatically enhanced: velocity response, note decay and key-range behavior. The end result is an incredibly expressive and authentic sound that blurs the line between digital and acoustic. Ivory Feel-G Keyboard Featuring Roland’s acclaimed Progressive Hammer Action design with Escapement, the RP-301’s Ivory Feel-G keyboard inherits the functions, appearance, and texture of keyboards found on our flagship pianos. Thanks to a combination of advanced sensor technologies and our SuperNATURAL Piano sound engine, the RP-301 offers expression and performance that rivals high-end pianos. Practice and Performance The RP-301 is equipped with friendly features to enhance your skills. The Twin-Piano feature, for example, is designed for side-by-side lessons or performances with a teacher or duet partner. It enables the keyboard to be split into two parts, each of which covers the same octaves. This makes it easy to see and hear when practicing beside a teacher. In the same way, the left and right pedals can be reassigned to act as damper pedals for either side of the split keyboard. The RP-301 also has built-in metronomes and recorders, so you can practice with a perfect time reference, and record and listen back to your performances. The built-in song library includes a selection of classical piano etudes — great for practice sessions. Digital Advantage With the RP-301, you can play day or night, year after year, and enjoy perfect sound and performance. Since the instrument is fully digital, there are no strings to tune, and no need to worry about temperature changes or aging strings. Furthermore, the RP-301 gives you the choice of playing through its built-in speakers, its external output, and/or through headphones so you can practice privately day or night without disturbing your neighbors. The built-in external input lets you connect an audio player for play-along fun.    Features: SuperNATURAL Piano recreating authentic piano expressiveness   88 keys ivory Feel-G keyboard for true piano feel and touch   Easy access to features for practice and performance with dedicated front-panel buttons   Metronome, recorder, and Twin Piano features convenient for skill building   Environment friendly; low power consumption and auto off function    128 voices and 30 tones   189 internal songs   1 track   Metronome Beat: 2/2, 0/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4, 3/8, 6/8, 9/8, 12/8   Effects: Reverb, Brilliance, String Resonance, Damper Resonance, Key Off Resonance   Touch Sensitivity: 5 levels, fixed   Pedals: Damper, soft, sostenuto    Finish: Satin black or Rosewood   Dimensions (with music rest): 54.3" W x 16.8" D x 39.1" H   Dimensions (without music rest): 54.3" W x 16.8" D x 32.9" H   Weight: 86 lbs.   Warranty: 5 year limited Model: RP-301

Very good digital piano overall but not great

Pros: great value, feels good, looks great, sounds great with a headphone
Cons: speaker/sound projecting system
Model Number: RP-301
"For the price, this is a great value and I really like it for the most part. It has a great touch and it looks nice. My only (small) "compliant" is that I wish they used a bit more powerful speaker or better sound projecting system. When I listen to someone else playing or auto play, it sounds fine. For some reasons, when I sit in front of the piano to play, it does not sound as nice and I am not sure why. I've read some comments about this in other website but reviews here on this and F-120 (which basically have the same system) were great so I went ahead and bought it. We place it against a wall but I guess most people do. With a headphone, it sounds great and that's how I usually play as I usually practice at night. In any case, it's a great value but I don't think you should expect the sound of Roland's HP series (granted they are more expensive)."

WOW!!!!

Pros: sounds great feels great superb quality
Cons: costs more than the others
Model Number: RP-301
"I think I played 9000 pianos. By far the best bang for the buck. This feels sweet and sounds even better. Very happy with this purchase. It was more money than I wanted to spend but well worth every penny. Customer Support was a great surprise too when my 5 year old took it half way apart...they are actually in the US and they answered the phone live! Refreshing."
