H2O Reserve™ 20 - 5 Gallon Water Storage With Filter Pump By Shelf Reliance and Seychelle

In an emergency, nothing matters more than having a sufficient supply of clean water. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) emphasizes the importance of storing at least one gallon of water per person per day in your emergency supply, but it can be difficult to maintain stored water and effectively rotate through it. Shelf Reliance® has developed a reliable, cost-effective option for storing up to 100 gallons of drinkable water in any location! When it comes to storing water, it’s important to have access wherever you are. The H2O Reserve™ allows you to have 20 five-gallon reserves located in all of the important places like the garage, basement, bedrooms, kitchen, etc. Each Mylar reserve bag comes in a heavy-duty box that supports the spout for simple pouring and has handle holes for easy transport. The reserves are refillable and include a high-quality pump filter that attaches to the spout of each reserve and reduces and removes up to 99.99% of contaminants and bacteria that might be found in stored water. This kit comes with 2 standard filters that will each provide up to 100 gallons of clean, drinkable water at any time! The H2O Reserve™ 20 pack makes it easy to build and maintain a safe and effective water supply! Holds more than 5 gallons

Pros: portable, inexpensive, modular, easy to share in a crisis
Cons: instructions not clear on how to fill these.
"For anyone concerned based on the review about these boxes "bowing," there is no need for concern. If your boxes bow, it means you OVERFILLED it. The metallic bags actually hold more than 5 gallons when filled to brim. To insure I got consistant fills, I weighed it on a scale. One gallon of water is 8.34 pounds, so 5 gallons = 41.7 pounds. The bag + the box weight less than 2 pounds, but I rounded to 2. That means 5 gallons of water in these boxes should come to 43.7 lbs. Now, maybe my scale is off a bit, but I actually found I could fill these consistently to 50 lbs without the boxes "bowing." If my scale is correct, thats another .75 gallons of water per box without it being overfilled. Hope this helps anyone interested in these. I'll be ordering more."

Good Idea...Not Built to last!

Pros: mylar bag water filter
Cons: cardboard box poorly constructed, will not support the claims made
"Good idea I like the mylar bags and filter...The cardboard is no where near sturdy enough to hold 5 gallons. Sides bowing out within 30 mins. Will only work if you fill it half way.
Don't waste your money like i did.
Guess i shouldn't have bought 2 sets!

H2O Reserve

Pros: a total of 20 boxes
"This is a great product, it requires NO tape to put the boxes together.
I found it very easy to fill the bladder outside the box, then insert it.
Everyone complains about the weight, I fill these about 1/2 full instead of all the way full, its much easier to carry from one location to the next.
Overall I like this way of storing water."

Good Product, Good Buy

Pros: great price, containers are reusable, easier to handle than barrels
"Emergency water is a must. These water boxes are pretty easy to fill and can be stacked. Treat the water and you can put them aside for 5 years. Keep in mind that a gallon of water does weigh about 8 pounds so you're looking at 40 pounds per box when full. If you keep emergency food rations, you better have water to go with them. Costco's price is a great deal and since you can reuse these containers, you can't go wrong."

Good Product and Value

Pros: sturdy
Cons: somewhat heavy
"The boxes and Mylar bags (bladders that go inside the boxes) are sturdy. The units are sized well for storage in a home, but note that 5 gallons of water weighs about 41 pounds. We put the box on a chair, filled the bag in the kitchen sink, then lowered the bag into the box. It takes two people to do this as one must push the sides in to fit the box. Be sure to wipe the bag dry and line it up properly before lowering it."
