Thermal-Aid® 100% Natural Heating and Cooling Bears

REDUCES FEVER - RELIEVES PAIN – WASHABLE Today’s parents opt whenever possible for natural solutions to their children’s ailments. Thermal-Aid Bears make it easier to treat children when they need hot or cold therapeutic treatment. The bears can be heated in the microwave and cooled in the freezer and are made from 100% natural cotton and a heating/cooling element composed of a specially engineered corn. Unlike other natural packs, Thermal-Aid Bears are washable, which allows you to use the bear repeatedly. Whether your child uses it when they have the flu or sprain their ankle, you can wash it and keep using it without worrying about the spread of germs. Thermal-Aid heating and cooling packs were developed by bio-engineers and doctors that worked closely with milling experts using a unique patented process, which removes the embryo/germ tip cap and outer coat from each kernel of corn. This leaves the purest and cleanest portion of the corn product. This process hardens the specialized de-germinated corn, allowing it to hold temperatures evenly for long periods of time. It also eliminates mold, fungi and foul odors often associated with natural heating/cooling products. Uses:   Fever, sunburn, earaches, back. pain, muscle soreness, cramps, neck pain, headaches, sprains/strains, stomach aches and flu symptoms, bug bites, babies with colic (under adult supervision), multiple sclerosis and growing pains. Heating:    Place on a clean surface in the center of the microwave for approximately 45-60 seconds. Cooling:     Place in the freezer for approximately five hours. Product Features: 100% Natural Heating and Cooling Pack   Reduces Fever   Relieves Pain   Washable CAUTION: Do not overheat! Follow directions exactly as printed on enclosed instructions. Use caution when removing the Thermal-Aid Therapeutic Bear from the microwave. If overheated, use oven mitts or a towel to safely remove from microwave. Extra caution should taken by those who suffer from diabetes, nervous systems disorders, circulatory disorders, or other disorders that cause impairment. Do not use if temperature is uncomfortable. CAUTION: CHOKING HAZARD: If given to a child, use caution; this product contains small pieces that can cause choking. Children 3+ should be supervised when using this product. Not recommended for children under 3 years of age. Not for use by individuals with corn allergies. Cleaning Instructions: Thermal-Aid Bears can be washed. Hand wash only, do not soak. Do not machine wash or dry clean. Use warm/hot water and mild soap. Lather, rinse and drip dry. Thermal-Aid must be fully dried before reuse. Ingredients: Natural cotton and a heating and cooling element composed of a specially engineered corn. Product Dimensions: 12 x 5 inches; Weight: 1.6 lbs

Cute but not practical

Model Number: Thermal-Aid® 100% Natural Heating and Cooling Bears
"Cute idea.
Poorly made. Not practical because it can not be thrown in the washing machine. Make a rice sock instead! Easy to make and works great. It bends and shapes to suit.

Better than a regular hot/cold pack

"Although the bear isn't very comfy to hold, my sold is more open to holding a bear than an ice pack when he gets hurt. Head, arms, and Legs do not have the thermal aid, just the tummy. I keep mine in the freezer until it's needed, and have found it works just fine going directly from freezer to microwave.
Color of the green bear is a little bit darker than the photo."

Just Okay

Pros: cute for children
Cons: costly, not "floppy" enough to mold to area, plain white rice works as well
"Works okay cold. Haven't tried hot. Just be aware that only the belly of the bear contains the 'specially engineered corn.' The head, arms and legs contain regular stuffing and therefore don't hold heat or cold. Uncooked white rice in a washcloth pouch works as well, if not better, and is cheaper."

Great little bear

"My 2 year old son loves his warm bear cuddling up with him at nap time. Heat for 30-60 sec and it retains heat as the child falls asleep. Bought a second one to have on hand for his other young siblings."

Blue Thermal Bear Bust!

Cons: uncomfortable
"I was very disappointed - not soft and the arms and legs do not heat. I had purchased a Bed Buddy Bear previously and that was outstanding.
I would not recommend this thermal bear and I hardly use it."

Thermal-Aid bears a hit with the kids!

Pros: cute, well-made, great price, soothing, smell good when heated
Cons: none!
"Well, I started off buying ONE green bear and gave it to my two nieces for when it would be needed as a hot pack. They fought over it just as a body warmer for bedtime, so I had to order a blue bear a week later. The older sister took both bears stating they needed to be together and put them with her stuff. I had to explain they were purchased for BOTH of them, and then ended up ordering a THIRD bear in pink just for the little sister. I had hoped one would be kept in the freezer as a cold pack, but the girls love these adorable bears so much they have to have them accessible at all times. They are so soothing as warm teddy bears, and they help the girls fall asleep at night. They even have little bear tails. Too cute!"

Thermal Aid Bear

Pros: good hot and cold system
Cons: the material could be stronger
"This is truly a great product for sick children
and for mom's. It gets very cold and your
child would like this special bear to cuddle
when he/she has a temperature. Only problem I found was my grandson likes it
so much it is a bear he carries around all
the time but the material is not strong enough
for constant use.

Love Bear

Pros: small enough to take on plane trips
Cons: only the tummy heats up
"I bought 3 of these bears. One I sent to my nephew who had just broken an arm. I kept one for myself. I am heating it up in the MW for 60 seconds and put it around my neck or warm my hands when I go to bed, It would have been better if the bear had the warm element thruout its body and not just in the tummy."

Excellent for boo-boo's

"I bought this bear in green (Hunter) as a replacement for my other cold packs for my kids to use for owies.. We had previously used the gel filled kind and was tired/grossed out by the breaking and leaking. My kids love this bear! We keep it in the freezer as we mostly use it for bumped heads and knees. But we have warmed it a couple of times for soar tummies. It very cute, feels nice, and holds it's temperature. My kids are now begging for the blue one too!"

Wanted to like these

Pros: cute cuddly kids love
Cons: not well made
"Within 2 days of giving one of these to each of my two kids, I had to sew a hole in one of the bears. The kids love them and this is a great idea, but sadly the workmanship is just not there. My daughter was just holding and cuddling the bear. Now, another week later, I've had to sew the bear two more times and I do not expect them to last but it's just too much trouble to return them right now."

It's Ok

Pros: cute and cuddly
Cons: it's not well made. it has a smell.
"I purchased the 1st. one for my son. It has a hole in the back. Ordered a another one for my son to replace the 1st. one. I also ordered one for my grandbaby. It works alright. But it's very cute. I son enjoyed the bear because he is cuddly. It's cute!! It does have a smell to it. I didn't expected that."
