Par Boiled Red Beans
Pros: excellent source of protein quick cooking, individual packaging great meal long shelflife
Cons: all pros
"apparently the previous reviewer never cooked beans. they have to be soaked overnight, then cooked for 3-4 hours. the 25 minutes it takes for the par-boiled to cook is a cooks dream. in an emergency situation having nutrition, protein and with a hand full of quick-cook rice a heck of a filling meal."

not so fast
"Sounded good until I read the cooking instructions on the product. Boil water and simmer for 25 minutes. I guess it's all relative when they say "only needs a few minutes to prepare"."
