How the SquareTrade Service Works
Service plan must be purchased within 30 days of purchasing the computer in-store. If the computer is purchased online at Costco.com, then the service plan must be purchased within 30 days from receipt of computer.

"I bought a Sony laptop and had it for over two years before I needed to use the Square Trade warrenty. They said it would cost more to fix it than it was worth. They refunded me the entire cost of the computer no problem. They even paid the postage so I was'nt out anything."

True Best Purchase Ever

"Bought my 18 Year old son a new HP Quad Laptop for Christmas. Also purchase the 3 years drops and spills from Square Trade for $99.99. Really the best purchase ever as my son spilled water on his new laptop and caused it to malfunction. Notified Square Trade, they sent a box in 2 days. it took 2 days for the computer to reach them and 2 days later I was notified that a check for the full amount was being sent to me for replacement of this computer. What a great warranty. I will replace the computer and purchase this protection again, and hope I will not have to use it again. Thank You Square Trade"

Drops and Spills - Oh My!
Pros: we have it if we need it.
Cons: if we don't need it we have it anyway

"This product (3 year service plan) seems to go on and above the normal one year plan that come with new computers. It didn't cost anything more and covers most things that might go wrong or accidentally happen to the new laptop that I purchased from Costco.com. I honestly hope I never have to use it, but if I do I trust Costco to make it right."

A TRUE BARGAIN!
"Fortunately, I haven't yet had to use this accidental damage protection plan; but, I certainly DO have piece of mind that my being accident prone is no longer quite the concern it could be! Besides, the price through Costco.com is BY FAR the best bargain avaliable... I checked the cost & coverage of multiple protection plans, and this beat every other (including "Square Trade's" own site) by AT LEAST $100.00!"

"It is difficult for me to review this purchase because I have not used it yet. SquareTrade has an awesome web site that shows all of your effective warranties.
I bought one for my other daughter's laptop last year and have not used that one yet either.
Costco's Congierge service is AWESOME!!! That i've used once."

Dell Inspirion Purchase
Pros: great value, easy setup

"The purchase of the laptop was easy. The delivery was very prompt and the setup was exceptionally easy, including the creation of recovery disks and password reset keys. My son has been using the laptop non-stop for a week and not a single problem."
