Excellent purchase, pricey though !!

"I was torn between this one and suggestions from my friends to buy a Samsung. In the store the Samsung looked good, but I wanted a larger screen and went for the Sharp 80". I couldn't have been happier that I bought this. It gives my living room a focal point. The quality is just amazing. Colors are vibrant in any kind of light. Blacks are dark and watching sports as well as movies is a pleasure. I ended up buying a 60" Samsung for my bedroom and a Vizio for the kids bedroom. It confirmed that this one beats the other TV's by a mile.
Plays all kinds of movie formats from USB and accessing the shared files (pics and movies) on the Home network via DLNA is also a breeze.
It does hurt to see the price drop as it has been only 2 months since I bought it and now it is already $500 lower due to the discounts. I wish Costco would give me a price match discount since it is within the 90 day return period. Nevertheless, i am happy with it !!"

Best TV Ever

"We have had this TV for about 2 months. We replaced an aging Sony 60". This was the best purchase we could have made. The TV does tend to attract attention and dominate the room, but after all, we wanted a large screen, so no complaints here. The picture is amazing, even in a bright room with large windows. It is crystal clear, graphics are sharp, the color is even thanks to the full array panel. Movies and sports are outstanding - why go to the theater any more, when we have one in our home?! We would recommend the Sharp LC-80LE633U to anyone looking for a huge screen and great picture quality."

Better than going to the movies!
"We previously purchased a 61" inch tv from Costo 2 yrs ago and had it hanging on our bedroom wall. We absolutely love it. But then we saw this 80" and we knew we would love it more. We have replaced the 60" in our bedroom with this new 80" and put the 60" in our livingroom. It's like being in the movie theatre but in the luxury of your own home and without people talking and the high ticket prices! We are big movie buffs so watching a movie on this is truly amazing! Merry EARLY Christmas to us!"

"This TV is truly amazing. The full array LED's provide a consistent excellent picture. I have had no issues with sporting events, movies, music dvd's or HDTV. They all look spectacular. I have it mounted on a wall mount but used professionals to help with the mount due to the TV's size. Costco purchase and delivery was seamless with the TV ordered and delivered within 7 days."

The Gift That Keeps On Engulfing
Pros: great picture., easy set up.
Cons: will make all other tv sets feel tiny.

"Dad started talking about the 80 inch set at Costco in February. By June, with Father's Day and His 85th Birthday approaching, it was time to pull the trigger. While it's a very expensive set and we are fortunate enough to afford it, it does exceed expectations. After one week of use --The picture is crisp. There are a number of "pre-sets" for adjusting the picture (as well as the ability to do so manually. While we are still working on extending the wireless connection to reach the set, I do look forward to tapping into the Sharp On-line assistance, too. Note on the size: we worried the set would be overwhelming in the living room and while it is big, it fits very easily on the same TV cabinet the previous 55 inch set sat on, extending maybe 3 to 4 inches over the edge on each side, with the base sitting safely and steady on the top of the cabinet. It is also about 7 inches higher.
FYI: Unpacking was made easy by the two piece construction of the box. The bottom stays in place while the rest easily lifts away to reveal your intelligently packaged Livingroom Jumbotron. Assembly of the TV base was fast and painless and with the help of another able bodied person, it is quite easy to lift and put in place."
