Quiet fan
Pros: quiet
Cons: small fan broke
"I appreciate how quiet this fan is. I lived where it is 110 degree F in the summer so I felt like this didn't cool down the room enough but I know I'm an extreme case. We moved and it's perfect in one of the bedrooms. The little fan though broke and we only used it in the baby room when the baby was in there which was rare. It broke in less than 3 months of usage."

Love this fan
"I really love this fan. It is quiet so I can use it at night. It does have a tiny fan noise, but it's more like white noise and I believe it helps me sleep better! I am going to buy another one so I can have a fan in a second bedroom as well."

Great value
Pros: quiet, great value, size of base is small

"Both fans run efficiently and are extremely quiet.The personal size fan fits well on my windowsill and allows me to circulate fresh air in at night without leaving my window open all the way. The large tower is a bit wobbly when you touch the buttons, but not to the point of being unstable.I shopped for similar products elsewhere and you cant beat Costco for the price and quality!"

Love This Fan But.....
Pros: quite, really cools the room, remote control
Cons: double the price if purchased at warehouse
"No noise here and if there is a smell it doesn't bother me in the least. Really cools the room and I don't use my air condition so I'm saving hundreds of dollars. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that I paid over $120 at the Costco warehouse for one fan and here it's half the price. Will be returning and buying 2 online. That way I get 2 for the price of one. Love the small fan too that comes with it but I don't get why the lower price."

WOBBLY TOWER/SMALL FAN OK
Pros: decent value
Cons: tower wobbles, tower is noisy

"I purchased this fan as my parents had an earlier version which works great. However, this version has 2 major issues, noisy tower and also wobbles when you touch any of the controls on the top of the fan. Costco sent a replacement (I too hate returns) but it also wobbled when you touch the top controls (neither tower wobbles during operation however). My parents tower (earlier model) is much quieter and does not wobble whatsoever. I called Seville directly and they stated the wobble was normal and all I can say is "value engineering" at its best, ughh!"

Perfect quiet fan

"I purchased this pair to get the small fan for the office. I love the small fan. The low speed is silent. The middle speed is quiet. The tall tower is similar. The low speed is silent. It's great for pointing directly at you without oscillating. There is a plastic smell, but it seems to be getting better with use."

Exceptional relief from the heat
Pros: 4 speed/oscillating/timer/space saver/cool/quiet
Cons: none-just want to buy a couple of more
"We are experiencing a 90+ degree heat wave in the north east...and are very pleased with these products.Both the tower fan and the personal fan provide exceptional adjustable cooling power, and are a terrific alternative to air conditioning...so a great energy saver as well..we use the tower fan in our family room and are delighted with the air flow/cooling power it provides with no noise issues. The personal fan is a great addition to our boat...During a 95 degree day it allowed me to comfortably stay inside the main cabin for six hours getting ready for a 2 wk sailing jaunt....and then performed admirably during that trip, as both have since we purchased a few months ago...Kudos to Seville and Costco...."

Fan(s) are wonderful and then....
"I really thought I had the best deal on tower fans. First the small fan begins to groan when it oscillates. Exchanged it and the same problem again. It appears to be whisper quiet for the first several hours and then the noise begins.
Small fan - small noise.
The large tower fan - which was perfect now grinds when it oscillates. This took longer to occur than the small fan noise, but this pair of fans will go back.
Large fan - larger noise."

Overwhelming Smell!
Pros: good air circulation, sleek design.
Cons: strong obnoxious odor., too noisy to use.

"The Tower Fan has a plastic, electronic smell to it that gave me a 2-day headache. I can't be in the same room as the fan, and the smell hasn't lessened with time. The smaller "personal tower fan" has a high shrill sound that is so annoying, we can't use the fan.
Sorry to say we will be returning the fans."

Nice fan but noisy

"I have owned 4 of these fans. The first two fans were quiet and very effective. I use them in an upstairs area to help circulate the air.
I then bought a replacement fan which began to immediately make clicking noises . I returned it and found that the new fan also made distracting clicking noises on all settings. Very disappointed."

Great Item

"We live in a hot area and have 2 swamp coolers. When the temp gets to 95 they are good but we are not that confortable. I saw these tower fans last yer in the warehouse in Manteca and stood in front of them and thought some day i am going to buy one of these.A couple of weeks ago they were in the mail catalog and i went right to my phone and ordered it and 3 days later I had it going and wow what a difference. My husbnd and i just love them.Size fits anywhere well and very easy to use."

Whisper quiet
"Our living room gets quite warm in the afternoon and this fan has been excellent at keeping the air flowing, guests cool, and no loud noise to interfer with conversations. The air flow is much better than stand fans I have had in the past; the circulation reaches across the room and covers everyone. Love it!!!

Poor Quality Fans
Cons: noisy, small fan button action is poor, no instruction on how to clean it
"The large fan constantly rattles. It's very noticable on the 1st three speed settings. I took it back once. Purchased a new one. Same issue all over again. This time it was quiet the 1st couple of nights. Then the rattling started. I think this time I take it back I won't bother getting a 3rd."

"Looks good but both fans have that "electronic" smell when you turn them on, and the smell is strong. It dies down after the fan(s) have been on for a little while.
We expected the smell to go away after a few days but after 6 weeks or so the smell is just about as bad as day one. I talked to a Costco rep who said the smell should have gone away after a couple days and we can just bring them back (we hate returning things).
