In an emergency, when you might not be able to speak for yourself, a medical ID bracelet or necklace speaks for you by communicating brief and vital medical information to the healthcare professionals caring for you.   Symptoms of common ailments can easily be misdiagnosed. Prompt diagnosis is critical to effective treatment. A brief description of vital medical facts engraved on your medical ID ensures appropriate and timely medical care.   According to a published study, half of all medical errors occur because of mistakes made upon admission or discharge from the hospital. Wearing a medical ID protects against potentially harmful medical errors.   Over 95% of emergency responders look for a medical ID; over 75% check for a medical ID immediately upon assessing the patient. If you're wearing a medical ID, it very likely won't be missed.   Medical IDs can eliminate trips to the hospital, reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and prevent minor emergencies from becoming major ones. Medical IDs save lives! One day, a medical ID may save you. Who Should Wear a Medical ID? If you have an ongoing medical condition, drug or food allergies, or are taking multiple medicines, you should wear a medical ID. An engraved medical ID bracelet or necklace presenting a concise overview of your condition(s), allergies and medicines will alert a doctor or medic before starting treatment. Informing medical personnel about your unique medical condition(s) and needs will greatly aid pre-hospital care. Can You be Reimbursed for Your Medical ID? Some health insurance plans may reimburse you for the purchase of your medical ID. When visiting with your doctor ask for a prescription for your Medical ID jewelry based on your medical condition. This prescription along with your insurance filing form when submitted to your health care plan will act as proof of the medical necessity.

Appearance is deceiving, thin and tinny looking!

Pros: attractive and polished
Cons: size is decieving tinny looking to expensive
Model Number: 632696
"Its not at all what I expected. I ordered the 7" chain because I have a small wrist for a man, that was a mistake. The bracelet is thin and petite looking and does not fit. The extra inch did not help at all. The print is great and it is very attractive but lacks quality in size. Men stay away and women beware."

Could have been larger

Pros: engraving correct
Cons: too small
Model Number: n/a
"I ordered the largest size offered and it was too small. Called the company and the price they wanted to make it larger was a little too high. All the engraving was correct but overall I am disappointed in the size of the bracelet."

A must-have for some health conditions

"The sterling silver model is a bit lighter in weight than I imagined. I find this is a good thing, easily wearable and good looking while serving a vital purpose. All engraving of vital information is highly legible"
