Really Good

Pros: great price sleek look perfect size
Cons: clearer/simplier cable instruction
Model Number: TC-32LC54
"I'm older then I like to be knowing that this is the first TV I have ever purchased by myself! I'm a single mom and waited until the last second to purchase the "right" TV. After a long, long process I decided on Costco since I know they have a great return policy, they are always very friendly and fair with the goods they push. Anyway, 2 of my daughters helped with the installation. We only needed one screw driver (which I did have). After the Start Up process was complete it was on to the channel programming which seems difficult for me because of the different cable options? Once we passed the cable options (it took two times plus a phone call) the screen went dark and I thought we broke it but after a few minutes it popped right on. The picture is great even on an angle. The remote comes with 2 little batteries and has a booklet for what all the buttons are for but I will only use it to turn on and off the TV since I have cable I will use the cable TV remote for channel changing and recording.
For me in my bedroom the TV is a perfect size and it is very sleek. I am very happy with this purchase. I also ordered the extended warrenty for $30.00 for an extra 3 years of insurance. I did have to call the cable company for a new converter box for a HDTV so that will need to be installed as soon as it comes via carrier service. It has been a few days so I suppose it is time to remove the protection plastic around the TV!!!

Shoddy TV

Pros: cheap
Cons: poor color reproduction, poor sound, grey blacks, unlit remote
Model Number: TC-32LC54
"Pretty shoddy TV. The base is flimsy and must be screwed on to the TV. The remote's loaded with buttons and not backlit. The blacks are quite poor and the screen only seems bright when directly facing the front of the TV. Only 2 HDMI ports (this wasn't an issue for us but some may be upset). Worst of all, the speakers are extremely weak. Not worth even the $250 we paid for it.
There's no reason to suffer for 6-7 years with a bedroom TV that has color and sound this bad."
