The Cannon 5940 comes with a fully adjustable interior for personal customization. Shelving can be raised, lowered or removed making this safe an excellent choice for securing a wide range of valuables.1” locking bolts, a recessed door and an attractive Hammertone paint finish make this unit a great addition to any home or office. Standard features include an easy to use electronic lock, upholstered inside walls, predrilled for bolting to the floor and so much more.

Gun Safe
Pros: good item for the price., better quality than most comparably priced safes., excellent delievery service.
Cons: kind of cheap liner inside., shelves are a bit thin.

"I needed and extra safe to keep old shotguns and ammo in. The was the largest safe I saw for under $1000. This is a good safe for the price. Other stores offered other brands and all were much more money. Others offered less quality for comparable pricing. This is the best safe for the price. Delievery service was excellant. Got it in a week."

Not so happy with this one
Cons: interior craftmanship very poor

"The outside finish and mechanical function is solid. The interior appears hastily built with most of the felt loose. Sure you can return it but who wants to go through the delivery and getting it in the house since delivery is curbside only to get another one that is the same way. The safe that this model replaced was also a Cannon purchased 5 years ago and the construction was way better than this one. I out grew the previous safe and needed more capacity and it looks like Cannon outgrew their quality control."

Costco and Cannon Made It Right
"Kelsey in Customer Service promised she'd make it right and she came through. I got my replacement safe and it is a Cannon. It is a tight fitting door and locks up like a safe should. Good way to take care of your loyal customers Costco. This is what we count on our membership to provide."

Terrible Safe - Worst Costco Purchase Ever
Pros: delivery - on time as always with costco

"Nice exterior paint finish. All else - bad. Welding markoff fshows through door where interior locking mechanism is attached . Interior finish is some type of spray glued on material that is not applied well and is wrinkled in several spots. Shelves and vertical divider are too thin and are flimsy as well as not being cut square. No shelf clips included and lock battery was dead. Door organizer looks like an afterthought and is very poor quality; a heavy pistol likley would pull pocket away from backer. Ordered 2 of these to replace a smaller Winchester Safe from Costco. Wish I had opened boxes while delivery truck was at house as would have refused shipment. Making arrangements to return to Costco tomorrow. If you value your guns, buy a different safe."

Exellent Buy
Pros: lots of storage

"Very happy with this for the price, this thing is big, lots of storage. Took four guys to move in, but that means nobody’s going to walk out the door with it. It was delivered just like they said it would be (curbside,) in excellent shape. Shipping company was very easy to work with; I was able to schedule the delivery to be dropped off around my schedule."

"This is a big and the door organizer is very well appointed. It holds my handguns, knives, documents, camera stuff and other small misc items. The fire seal is made to keep out smoke and heat. I hope I dont fill ths one up. I bolted mine to the floor of my garage."

"I have owned a Liberty safe in the past and the bolts bent the moment they hit my door so I went out and bought this new Safari, Cannon safe and I am more than pleased with it. Just feeling the door you can feel the strength and the bolts are large, not little guys like my liberty. I own about 22 guns and place that on one side of my safe leaving the entire other part for documents and my wife's jewelry. I would highly recommend this safe to anyone who orders it, I got it much quicker then the website said too."
