Pros: good job cleaning teeth
Cons: poor construction quality, overpriced poor customer service
"Sonicare flexcare toothbrush does good job on teeth but poor quality product. Internal part broke (although battery was working well) and made brush unusable. Phillips not willing to replace or repair toothbrush. Given the premium price for the product, would not recommend it and will try my luck with another company."

It Works

Great toothbrush...with obsolescence.
Pros: clean teeth healthy gums
Cons: battery not easily replaceable
"My dentist loves this toothbrush. I love what it does for my teeth and gums, but this is my third Sonicare. I would still be using my first Sonicare if the batteries could just be easily replaced. They use a standard laptop lithium ion battery, but decided to solder the battery to the terminals, making it difficult to replace. It can be replaced, however, that's only possible if the seals on the handle don't break down from the vibrations. If that happens—and it does—then the circuits corrode and the handle fails prematurely. Then, guess what? You need a new handle. Of course, Sonicare doesn't just sell the handle, so you need to buy a whole new outfit. Hence, I'm on my third one."

Surprised!
"I bought this for my wife, but since there's two in the package, thought I'd give it a try. Takes some getting used to, but now about 3 weeks in and I don't think I can go back to a regular toothbrush. My wife likes it too."

The brush works great but the warranty isn't
Pros: our teeth feel very clean after brushing

"Within a week of buying the Sonicare one of the brushes would fall off the power unit after about 30 seconds of use. I contacted the company and was told that their warranty did not cover the brushes. I hope the power unit and charger lasts longer than their brushes."

Great brush, missing items in box...

"I'm a big fan of Sonicare and generally buy my brushes and heads from costco as they have the best prices.
Just be aware that the were very cheap in this product as they removed the INTERCHANGEABLE COLOR CODE RINGS from their packaging and the TRAVEL CHARGER COVER was not included either.
I get that they do things to maximize costs and profits - but really.. the color rings may have cut into their cost factors maybe $0.05 per unit??

Absolutely fabulous
Pros: better dental check up, sanitize the brush heads
Cons: it is a little pricey but well worth the price.
"I received this for a Christmas gift because I had wanted to try it. It is without a doubt one of the best gifts I could have ever received. Today I went to the dentist's office to have a cleaning and they remarked how little plaque I had. I told them I have been using this toothbrush for about 6 weeks and didn't want to tell them about it just to see if they could notice the difference. My teeth feel like I got a dental cleaning each and every time I brush. I actually look forward to brushing because my teeth and breath feel so good after I use it. The dentist's office also said my gums look healthier. I did have to read the directions on the proper angle to use the brush initially and I had to get over the tingling feeling on the roof of my mouth. I thought that I would give it a week and after using it properly, my teeth are whiter and I no longer notice that tingling feeling. I questioned my dentist about crowns and fillings and was told that if used properly, I would have no problems. I plan on purchasing three more of these to give to my children...that is how much I love this product."

"I am 52 yrs old and have been a sonic care user for 14yrs. Sonic care has never caused me dental work dammage. What I have had is amazing dental visits. If you have read all the other good reviews they have pretty much said it all so I won't bore you with redundancy. Just like any new thing it takes a little while to adjust, and it's not any messier than any other method of tooth brushing."

"If you have crowns or teeth filling, they will all fall off. The ultrasonic wave on this toothbrush is so strong that if the brush taps your teeth, you will feel the vibration to your head. This tooth brush is great for cleaning around your faucets and diamond but not your teeth. Maybe I am so used to Oral -B Braun so I will stick with that."

The best toothbrush. Ever!
Pros: easy to use. fabulously clean teeth!
"I have nerve exposure from brushing too hard, for too many years and my teeth are very sensitive. I am a daily coffee drinker and occasional red wine drinker, so staining has always been a problem for me. I started using this toothbrush about 6 months ago. I went to the dentist for my 6 month cleaning and my hygienist went crazy over how good my teeth and gums were! No stain removal scraping needed, no bleeding gums. It was awesome.
I don't find this toothbrush messy because I don't brush with my mouth open. I learned to keep my mouth closed around the brush to keep the splatter and saliva under control.
I don't know why dental insurance doesn't cover the cost of this brush because it sure does make a world of difference!!!!"

So Far So Good...
Pros: automatically turns off after right amount of use

"Only have this a week so I can't speak to durability however, my husband and I already feel the difference. Our teeth feel so much cleaner and polished after using this product. It does take getting used to if you have never used an electric brush before. I don't have a problem with the vibration but it can be a bit messy. I keep a paper towel handy to wipe up after use but it's still worth it! It's getting easier so I expect by another week it'll be old hand. Think of it as an investment in your mouth...if you don't think you'll stay with it, buy a cheaper version."

"I've been using this particular Sonicare toothbrush for about 3 years. I don't get sick very often and I attribute it to cleaning my toothbrush head with the ultraviolet attachment every time I use it.
I've been a Sonicare user for over 15 years, and trust me, once you brush with a Sonicare you won't go back to what you were using."

Saved me dental fees
"I figured instead of paying my dentist two hundred dollars for a cleaning, to remove buildup of brown gunk on my teeth, (I brush daily with a non-electric brush and somehow the buildup occurs), I might as well try this Sonicare whitening toothbrush from Philips. The package says ''whitens teeth within seven days''. I figured if it doesnt whiten my teeth, I can always return it to Costco for a refund, and then I'll go to my dentist to do the job the Philips Sonicare couldn't do.
Surprise of surprises, within a week of using the Philips Sonicare my teeth look white(beige) again! The brown buildup is all GONE!
It took me a few days to get used to it, the vibrations, the splattering of toothpaste, etc. But now after two weeks of daily usage, I'm a pro at it.
So not only did I save two hundred dollars at the dentist, but I now have a product that will probably save me two hundred dollars each year! And, as a bonus, there's an additional toothbrush for another member in my home.
So glad I purchased this!

Good Electic Toothbrush
Pros: very clean teeth, easy on my gums, holds a charge for a long time, comes with two travel cases and charger, comes with bruh head sanatizer

"I purchased this tooth brush because my dentist recommended the Sonicare in particular. I've never owned anything other than a human powered do-it-yourself toothbrush and really procrastinated for a few years before I finally bought this one.
At first – the toothbrush is weird. It tickles, banged against my teeth and if wasn’t really careful I’d get spooge all over the mirror! Not real happy at first.
After a few days – I was getting a little more used to using the toothbrush, I wasn’t making as much of a mess and it didn’t feel so tickly.
After two weeks – I am getting more used to the toothbrush. This brush was recommended because my gums were receding due to my harsh brushing. Although I always had very clean teeth, I really feel my teeth are actually getting cleaner with the Sonicare.
Because I like the way my teeth and gums feel I am still using the Sonicare and intend to continue using it because I don’t want to lose my teeth due to receding gums. I tried to use my regular toothbrush and didn’t feel like my teeth were as clean. So there are clear benefits to using the Sonicare.
My husband started to use his at the same time. He doesn’t have nearly has many issues with it as I do. His only problem is first thing in the morning because the vibration and tickling is too much for early morning brushing. But he feels it does a better job and likes it otherwise.
I recommend following the user’s guide and start out using the sensitive setting for the first week and then work your way up to regular and then after you’re very used to the brush, work your way up to the longest setting. Give it some time to adjust to if you’ve never used an electric toothbrush before. All in all I don’t think I’ll ever switch back."

Dentist Clean Feeling

"After using an Oral-B Triumph for years, I decided to give Sonicare a try and I'm very glad I did. I was a bit hesitant because I have sensative teeth and wasn't sure how I would do with the "sonic" sensation, but it actually is more comfortable to use than the Oral-B. The best part is every time I brush I feel like my teeth have just been polished by the dentist. I would highly recommend this toothbrush."

"I've been a Sonicare Essence user for over 15 years. I was going on a two week business trip and needed some new brush heads, which I always purchase at Costco. While I've always appreciated the Essences brushing ability, the design of the brush head to handle has always frustrated me. Those of you that own one know what I mean. Even if you are meticulous about separating, rinsing and air drying both the handle and the brush, you still get a gross build up of gunk under the screw on part of the brush. So when at Costco to purchase new brush heads, I saw this new model "Healthywhite" at least it's new to me. Looking at the design I could see it didn't have the gunk grabbing cavities the Essence has and even though my Essence handle still works fine, the daily frustration of the gunk grabbing brush head was enough for me to make the trade up. Well, no more gunk!!! With the design of the Healthy White model there isn't the gunk grabbing pockets the old Essence has. I've only been using the HealthyWhite model for two weeks but am absolutely tickled about this tooth cleaning machine.The kit comes with an ultraviolet charging station and a travel charging station. The replacement brush heads are around the same price as the Essence so the long term cost is the same after the initial kit purchase. I rarely am enthused enough about a product that I feel the need to write a review, but I felt the need to let you other passionate tooth brushers know, "There's a new Sonicare in town", and it's here to clean up your mouth :-)"
