NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

Cons: very light weight. not what i thought it was
Model Number: ITEM # 667414
"I JUST RECEIVED THIS COOLER TODAY. WHEN I ORDERED IT IT DID NOT SAY THAT IT HAD TO BE BOLTED TO THE WALL. I AM NOT WILLING TO DO THIS. IF I HAD KNOWN I WOULD NEVER HAVE ORDERED IT. THE INFORMATION SHEET ON THE WEBSITE SAYS THAT IT IS STAINLESS STEEL. IT IS MOSTLY PLASTIC. I AM GOING TO RETURN IT"

Looks nice, works not nice....

Pros: looks
Cons: doesn't keep water cold., run's constantly
Model Number: YL1136AS (SKU: 900116)
"Based on my reading of the other reviews, I guess I should count myself lucky as my unit worked for a year and a half and hasn't leaked yet. That said, I think the unit should last longer than a year and a half. Warranty is only a year and they offered me a unit at a discounted price, but I'm not willing to purchase unit again. I can't recommend."

Nice, but cold water not

Pros: looks nice easy to load system.
Cons: cold water not
"Everything works fine except the cold water is over 55 degrees F. Customer service said someone forgot to set the thermostat at the factory. Sounded like they were aware of the problem. Ship mine back at no charge and they will replace. Beta testing on customers?"

Started dripping about 1 month from first use

Cons: hot room temp and cold water, drips drips drips
"This unit has been horrible. When we first received it, it worked perfectly, then about one month after we started using it, the cold water tap developed an intermittent drip. About six months into use, the collar dripped nearly our entire 5 gallons all over our wood kitchen floor. We are taking it back to the store."

Disappointingly Average

Pros: returning it was simple
Cons: cheap all around
Model Number: Primo Top Load
"I should’ve known better than to purchase a cheaper model and hope for good quality. I am disappointed in the unit’s performance and aesthetics. The unit was very short which made getting water out of the spigots very difficult. In addition the spigots were concealed so that you have to be on your knees to see where the water will disperse. It had cheap buttons and the unit was very noisy. The cold water dispensed was barely chilled, and the hot water was not hot enough to dissolve my instant coffee. All in all I had no choice to return the unit and buy a more expensive but much higher quality model."

Disappointed

"Had unit for only about 2 weeks and it started leaking at the base of the collar. But, had no problem returning it at our local Costco, no questions asked. Full refund."

Satisfied.

Pros: convenient cold and hot water.
Cons: night light switch inconvenient - no auto sensor.
"Have been using this cooler for nearly a week now and does pretty much everything as advertised. Hot water is hot, Cold water is cold, room temperature = you guessed it.
If I had only one complaint it would probably be related to the nightlight feature. It has a "nightlight" which is controlled by a switch on the back (similar to the switches to turn the hot and cold water features off); however, if the switch is on it is always on (not what i interpret as a "night light"). If's a very small LED light so the power draw is negligible I'm sure it's just that if something is called a night light, I expect it to come on when dark and turn off when light - reaching behind for the switch at intervals isn't practical, so I just leave it on - could also just leave it off I suppose..

Does Not work with GREENWAY filters

"The water cooler I received was USED.... Boxed as if it was new. The black plastic that the cooler is made of was "scruffed" and had water deposits on the top of the unit... and all the "protective" static plastic had been removed.
I purchased this to use with the: Greenway® Filtration System for Water Dispensers - Item# 275081
But it will not work... as the Primo cooler's "collar" will not allow the bottle to seat.... and there is no way to remove the coilar as it is built into the body of the cooler.

Response from Costco:By Costco BuyerOffice ProductsJuly 24, 2012
Thank you for your feedback regarding the Primo Top Load Dispender. All Primo dispensers receive extensive testing and visual inspection during manufacture. Once all parameters are met, the products are packaged and sealed. All cartons remain factory sealed before shipping. Primo does not ship products that are used, refurbished or seconds. For your convenience protective film on stainless steel parts is removed prior to packaging. Again, thank you for your comments.
