Real Bad Picture

Pros: price
Cons: very grainy picture.
Model Number: ELEFQ391J
" We liked the description of this TV and what it supposedly offered, but when it arrived and we hooked it up, it had a terrible picture onscreen, our old Phillips tube TV had a much better picture. We took it back to our local Costco, same day, and exchange it for a Vizio 720p....much better picture. "

Slow processing in switching channels

Pros: cheap
Cons: slow processing
" It took 5 seconds to switch between channels. I use Comcast cable. It was kinda annoying waiting that long, and it has blank white screen in between. If you can tolerate that, than it's a good price $350 for a TV that thin, light, good picture quality and mediocre sound. "

Good value for the price

Pros: price, jbl sound system, picture quality for a small tv
Cons: haven't found any yet
Model Number: ELEFQ391J
" I use this product as a monitor with input from a DirecTV system either direct via HDMI or via a DVD/VHS combo player. Easy to set up as the TV device on the DirecTV remote control using the code provided by the manufacturer (use the JBL TV brand option on the DirecTV setup screen)and worked perfectly right out of the box with great digital sound and picture. The real surprise, though, was the quality of the JBL speaker system when playing CDs on the DVD player, something I discovered by accident--excellent!!! A great opportunity to upgrade to HD with decent sound at a very reasonable price. "

Great TV & Excellent Sound

Pros: cheap price & jbl soundbar, 3 hdmi inputs
" The Element 39 inch TV is a great value for the price! I read the reviews prior to recently purchasing the TV. There was a complaint about the TV being slow in changing channels but I haven't noticed the same issue. Perhaps the other reviewer uses cable without a cable box but the channel changes at a normal rate with my DIRECTV HDDVR. The picture quality is great and the sound is awesome (especially compared to similar priced TVs). The JBL soundbar can fill any room with great sound. "

Cons: slow in changing channel. remote is not very respo
Model Number: Element 39” Class 1080p LCD HDTV ELEFQ391J
" A basic tv for watching a single channel for a long program. Changing volume or channel is very frustrating because of very insensitive remote. "

Great value for size

Cons: confusing "made in" vs. "assembled in" labelling
Model Number: ELEFQ391J
" The TV was delivered in a box stating "Made in China", however the inside box states "This TV was assembled in the USA". This is somewhat confusing. Anyway the sound is awesome with the JBL soundbar; the volume numbers range from 0-100, but a value of 10-20 is comfortable for us. TV set comes with one HDMI cable that is almost 6 feet long. The TV has a longer boot-up time than my older, smaller Toshiba. I have had a problem with my Comcast Universal Remote. Comcast says code 11523 is for Element, but information with TV says to use code 10178, which works. However, when using the Remote button "All On", the TV seems to go off OK, but won't always turn on. I must resort to selecting "TV" then "Power". It is a good value for its size and price. "
