NO more lifting!

Pros: bone dry, energy efficient, continuous pump works great!, great price, easy installation
Model Number: DD50PSC
"I've owned them all through the years but the De Longhi is the best I've ever used. BEST feature is the continious drain. Mine drain is 5' high and works wonderfully. I can leave for a week and the basement is bone dry when I get back. NO more removing the heavy bucket twice a day for me! The operation is much cheaper and efficient as well. I don't use the basement much so don't notice the noise but you can turn it off when you do use it (I assume most folks don't live in their basement 24 hours a day). The price is right for a superb product that has made my life far easier and eliminated worry when I take trips. Also, if you are home you don't need to leave it on 24 hours a day--6-8 hours a day will do it in the most humid weather. I've finished my 2nd year of use and it still works great."

Best I've Owned

Pros: pump feature
Cons: noisy, fan is constantly on
"The dehumidifier ran very well for 2 solid years in a high moisture content basement and today finally quit working. The pump feature was great as I was able to pump the water from the basement into a crawl space sump pump with a 6' elevation change. It is noisy and has constantly running fan but well worth the investment and I will be replacing it with the same."

It Does The Job

Pros: built-in pump good display
Cons: can't think of any
Model Number: Item# 648640
"I bought the DiLonghi dehumidifier to replace an LG unit which quit working. The main attraction to me for the DiLonghi was the integral pump, which saves having to manually empty the dehumidifier's bucket.
The pump works like a charm! It's pumping to a height of aprroximately five feet. In addition, the humidity level in my basement is much lower than it was with my old LG unit."

Great product

"We bought this dehumidifier to keep the crawl space under our house dry. And it has worked beautifully. The pump functionality to send the collected water up and out of the space is truly awesome. I couldn't be happier with the purchase."

Humdimnity

Pros: patented pump - defeats gravity, no more having to dump the bucket manually outside
"This humidifier is AWESOME! I had an older one that I thought did a good job b/c the bucket in the back always collected water. Well, let me tell you, after 3 days of using this new one, my basement is the dryest I've ever seen, there is no more odor either. It's amazing. The patented pump is awesome as well. No more dumping the bucket on a daily basis. The water gets pumped through the hose - upward defying gravity and gets put outside....any doubts of buying this - put your doubts aside. You won't be disappointed!"

am returning it

Cons: very loud, fan runs constantly
"The fan is really loud, even on the low speed. Fan runs all the time, even when the desired humidity is reached. You can put it on timer but that's a pain to set."

Works OKAY but too NOISY

Cons: noise
"I had another DeLonghi 50-pint model (different model DE400P) for my parent about 3 years ago. It is still working fine and SUPER QUITE.
I brought this one for my basement last month and I was expecting about same level of noise from the unit as OLD model. (It even says Quiet operation but...)
Man! I was WRONG. Even with low fan speed, this unit is bit too noisy to watch TV about 30 ft away.
I wish DeLonghi still offer old model because I will buy that unit in a heartbeat.."

Very Practical Unit

Pros: efficient
Cons: a bit noisy
Model Number: 50 pint unit
"We have installed the unit in our basement which is very damp. The hose from the internal pump drains into a sink. We never have to empty a bucket."

PUMP IS USELESS

Pros: quiet-efficient
Cons: pump is useless, small capacity
"I BOUGHT THIS ONLY BECAUSE IT HAD THE PUMP WHICH I RESEARCHED WITH THE COMPANY. THE PUMP IS USELESS UNLESS YOU HAVE A VERTICAL DRAINPIPE YOU CAN STICK IT INTO. THE HOSE FOR THE PUMP IS A 'DRIP' HOSE AS WAS TOLD TO ME BY THE REP. YOU CAN HOLD THE HOSE UPSIDE DOWN FILLED WITH WATER (ITS CLEAR PLASTIC) AND THE WATER WILL NOT RUNN OUT.
I PUT THEHOSE IN AT LEAST 10FT IN TWO DIFFERENT DRAINPIPES IN MY BASEMENT THAT RUN BENEATH THE CEILING WHICH DRAIN SINKS FROM ABOVE. EVEN THOSE THESE PIPES ARE PITCHED SLIGHTLY THE DRIP WATER FROM THE HOSE RUNS BACKWARDS AND OUT THE PIPE OPENING ONTO THE FLOOR THOUGH I WRAPPED THE OPENING WITH HEAVY PLASTIC TO MAKE AIRTIGHT SO SEWER GAS WOULD NOT ESCAPE.
AS FAR AS A BEING A DEHUMIDIFIER IT IS AS GOOD AS ANY BUT DOESNT HOLD MUCH WATER DUE THE DESIGN OF THE INTERIOR OF THE BUCKET I GUESS FOR THE PUMP ACTION.
SO, IF YOU RE BUYING THIS FOR THE PUMP BUY YOURSELF A CHEAPER 'NON PUMP' UNIT.
ALSO, THE LEFT HALF OF THE ELCTRONIC KEYBOARD COLLAPSED-STILL WORKS- BUT SINCE IT S FROM COSTCO I WILL RETURN IT WHEN I SEE A BETTER DEAL SOMEWHERE. I NEVER HAD ANY LUCK WITH DELONGHI PRODUCTS AND WAS HESITANT FROM THE START BUT IS THE ONLY ONE WITH A PUMP.

Best Purchase Ever

Pros: has the pump
Cons: none
Model Number: DD50PSC
"this is a great dehumidifer, even though this is my second unit, as I returned the first unit today, only because the pump quit working. Then I had to drain manually as I didn't care to hook up the other hose, that would drain into the sump pump basin. I was looking at the 70 pint unit, that was $20 cheaper, however, it did not have the "pump" feature, just the drain feature, which most of them have...The first one lasted only 3 years, but thats the great thing about Costco..."
