"People rarely take the time to compliment good customer service anymore, so I would like to do so. Our daughter purchased an HP printer for us at Xmas. We had nothing but problems with the printer and numerous calls to HP (all of which were to foreign countries). I thought an attempt to return it to Costco would be crazy since we no longer had the packaging or receipt. But, much to my surprise they took it back with no problem. We advised the date it was purchased and member number and it was smooth sailing from there. So, kudos to you and your customer service counter at Costco.
A very satisfied shopper....

Crazy for Costco

Pros: clean stores, friendly people, high quality products, liberal return policy, chaep gas
Cons: restricted hours
"Here's the bottom line: Costco pays their employees extremely--therefore they are happy in the jobs and offer just awesome customer service. They are always friendly. They have extremely low markups on their merchandise, making most of their income from membership fees. Once you are a member, you really are paying rock bottom prices. This is especially true on food. I am one of those people who has a spreadsheet on how much stuff cost by the ounce. There's just no comparison to buying food in bulk when it comes to eating economically. I also like that Costco has added a few organic products which I would not be able to afford on our family's budget."

Executive Membership

"Because it is based on only 9 months of purchases (the rebate check is sent 3 months before the renewal date), the 2% cash back is not truly an annual rate. In my case, that actually made the Standard membership more valuable than the the Executive membership."

Executive Membership

"I have been a member for 23 years and I have always found their prices, quality, service, & return policy to be excellent. When I was considering upgrading to the Executive membership I wasn't sure it would pay off. I have now been an Executive member for 3 years and every annual Rebate Check has been far more than the membership fee. I think its great that Costco is paying me to shop at their stores for products I would be buying anyhow, at prices that are below other stores. That's what I call a win-win situation."

enjoy membership

"I have been a costco member for years... ( 1990) when I first joined, I wasn't sure if it would be cost effective-- so I told myself it was an entertainment expense since I enjoy it so much---
Since then I have continued the membership and really enjoy it/ benefit from it both at home and on my travels.

NOT worth the money

Pros: best place to purchase your meat.
Cons: membership too expensive
"Cost of membership has been increasing consistently but the quality and saving on the products has not.
It used to be inexpensive to join and the deal were phenomenal and now it's expensive to join and the deal are mediocre"

So far so good

Pros: healthy food choices and great clothing bargins
Cons: items you like are sometimes discontinued
"I was not sure if the Executive Membership would be worth it...so far so good. The difference between Costco and some of its' competition are the actual products they sell. I get name brand clothing so inexpensive. Even the private label food is sometimes better quality than at the grocery store. Organic, low sugar content, healty choices, goes on and on. I'm waiting to get my 2%, which should pay for my renewal. I'll let you know how it goes..."

Great store, but SUPER BUSY

Pros: wonderful products, super fast cashiers
Cons: way too busy and packed even on a weekday
"Rarely have I been to my Costco without it being packed. There are people EVERYWHERE and it's difficult to find a decent parking space. Trying to push a cart through this store is challenging and I have to dodge all the lines of people waiting for samples. The front end has cashiering down to a science though and rarely have I stood in line for more than 10 minutes. It would be WONDERFUL if a second store could be opened for our area."

Not worth the money

Pros: large quantity items
Cons: lots of time wasted, no really a bargain, poor customer service
"Pricing has become less competitive, service has dropped. Lines are long, takes up a lot of time. If you do not require large quantity items, then you will save huge amounts of time going elsewhere.
Not worth the member ship cost in savings."

The stor ewith a heart

Pros: good prices, great customer service, best gas prices in town
"My family and I have been a Costco memebr since it was Price Club. They have great prices, lots of items, Costco carries a good deal on Disney tickets & stuff. The Sees candy is a good deal. But I really love about Costco is that they treat thier employees great. The CEO makes a small amount compared to his position at 300,000. He visits that stores and has people call him by his first name. They give a lot to childrens hospital. I would much rather give my money to a company like Costco, knowing that my money goes to the empoyees, and to children in need. Also, if you have a problem, yo0u know you are a valued customer."

My most favorite place to shop

Pros: excellent price quality and customer service
"We wish we'd known about Costco a lot sooner. After being Costco members for the last 3 years, we have never been disappointed doing business with Costco. They truly honor excellent business practices and customer services. The quality and prices of their products are excellent.. We will look for an item at Costco before anywhere else. We must say that we we would not know where to shop without costco. Thanks costco for having only the best interests for your customers. We wish more there were more businesses that would make us feel the same."

HP Computer

"I bought an HP laptop computer from Costco about a year and a half ago. I have been attending school on-line so having a laptop for me was huge. When my computer crashed I quickly called Costco concierge service. With Costco having an extended year warranty on all of it's electronics my laptop was fixed with no additional charge! Now I will always buy all my electronics at Costco."

Incredible Return Policy

"If I buy ANY item that could possibly have a problem down the road, I get it at Costco. I hate returning things, but the satisfaction guarantee that Costco provides is invaluable. Even if I can get it cheaper elsewhere, I get it at Costco, because that reassurance takes the stress out of a higher ticket purchase. And let's face it, where can you return a camera or computer after purchase? If it has a problem, you have to go through dealing with the vendor, send it away, whatever. With Costco, just pack it up and take it back if it is within the 90 days. You can return items other than electronics after 90 days."

Best Buy for Most Things

"I've been a COSTCO member for many years and will remain one. I buy all my paper goods (tp, paper towels etc) here & Consumer Reports has rated their tp a "Best Buy". I always buy my gas here it's usually 10 cents a gal cheaper than anywhere else. I also love their selection of children's books and the meat is always fresh. I also love online ordering & mail delivery of bulky things. The sales associates are wonderful! Parking is a hassle though - I need handicapped parking and there just aren't enough spaces. I must agree - prices are going up so do your homework."

"Costco has been my chosen store for several years. I have been a memeber since 2003. What I love most about costco is you get what you pay for. Costco merchandsie is excellent and the food is always fresh!!! The customer service is excellent and I just love the foodcourt. The prices are simply wonderful!!! I talk so much about this card all my freinds and family are now members (EXECUTIVE). Just note I am your greatest spoke person!!! I will be simply lost without Costco. Honestly I do not know where I would shop. This company is a point of difference."

Love this Store!

"When I was at home my parents had a Costco membership which we used frequently. However, I moved away and hadn't been in Costo for 8 or 9 years. Recently my husband and I decided to check it out. We were delighted! I am particularly happy that they now have soooo many organic and other healthier choices available for very good prices...a lot of it is not much more or even cheaper than the non-organic that one would get in a regular grocery store. The coupon book makes things even cheaper. I am very happy!"

Didn't really want this membership...

Pros: good for non-perishables
Cons: not a 1-stop store., many items are cheaper elsewhere.
"...but hubby wanted to make a major purchase and it made more sense to get it...just for this year! Well, I just renewed my Executive membership.
The quality of Kirkland products is superb! I will not buy paper towels, garbage bags or dish soap anywhere else. I was a brand snob until I tried Kirkland!
The $110 Executive membership fee is well worth it and the rebate that I got paid for the executive upgrade. Call me a happy member!"

If You Don't Have a Costco Membership, Get One!

"Where should I begin? Costco is the best place ever to shop for everything, especially household goods, and high-end watches and diamonds.
If you're on the fence about purchasing a membership, do it. You won't regret it. And, if by chance you do (regret it), you can always return your membership. So, either way - you can't go wrong!"
